Post subject:  Pop Quiz (Especially for the guys newer to pickup)
You're waiting in line to order food with a few people in front of you. As you're standing there, in walks one of the hottest girls you've ever seen. She gets in line behind you and gives you a slight smile and then looks up at the menu. In order to make something happen, what do you say as an opener?

Keep in mind that there are no right or wrong answers. You're just making a first step at getting her to recognizing that you are an attractive man.

Are you a regular vs. newcomer to the joint would be a big variable in deciding what gets said.

What you say has to be genuine. Fake bullshit almost never cuts it past a few lines.

[1] You'd either make a comment about the menu and make a suggestion (if you're really familiar with it) or [2] ask a question if you're not, basically assuming that she's a regular and can offer advice. If both are newcomers, you can debate on what items seem like they'd be the tastiest.

Assuming it's a burger joint:

[1] "Hey... I'll tell you a secret. I constantly fantasize about that *insert name*. I don't even mind when the juices are dripping down my face or the yearly dose of saturated fat"

[2] "Well, you walked in here like you own the place. Which of these things tastes so good that it doesn't matter that it takes at least 5 years off of your life?"

If there is any resistence trow in a: "come on, it's an adventure! what the worst that can happen?" or "i'll promise to take real good care of you!"

My point just for this post was just so you put yourself, mentally, in an ordinary situation when an opportunity presents itself and think what you would do to open a girl. That being said...I like your opener with the exception of it being too long. If it's long, it seems like you're building up to something and walls of resistance are going to be put into place. What that boils down to is that it's going to keep her from being in the moment with you and instead start analyzing you. My advice would be to cut out most of it and just say, "I pick something for you, you pick something for me."

Btw...the best part of your opener is that it creates a "we" connection. It's not just about you or just about her. I don't know if you were going for that...but it's a good thing to keep in mind.

Canned, straight up:

I see the girl and motion towards her while saying "Whoa." I guess technically that's the opener, but once she realizes I'm directing this at her and I have her attention a second or two later...

"You look just like a girl I know, but here I can see you have a different energy in your eyes."
