If you live in an apartment complex, order some masculine stuff, like cologne or interesting books, but put the address of your cute neighbor on it "by mistake." She may just hunt you down and deliver it to you! |

Or keep it and give it to some other guy. Stay away from the cheap tricks. |

You guys know everything, don't you...Stay away from the cheap tricks. Well if she gives it to another guy, you didn't want her to begin with... if she gives it to you, she's a keeper. |

Quote: I don't know everything, but I do know a bad idea when I see it. This is a bad idea. It's a bad idea because you are paying to see if this is a girl that you want. If you want to pay to see if this is the type of girl that you want, ask her out for drinks. Invite her over to hang out. Don't use a cheap trick to try to get to know her.
Lighten up... I posted this because a woman in my complex actually does receive my mail by accident, with no tricks on my part.Realize...you're the one that called yourself a "beta faggot". This idea doesn't change that impression. It was basically a joke, which is why I used the word "funny." Let's all just lighten up. Remember, I'm on my "dry spell" and am focusing on my new job right now anyways.. Not a good time for me to be prioritizing women too high. |

Instead, maybe you should try talking to your neighbor or worrying about your new job instead of posting ideas that you haven't tried yourself even if you meant it as a joke. The joke that you justified why it's okay to give a try because you can figure out if she's a keeper or not. |

Or talk to her. It's very socially weak to try to trick a girl into talking to you. Risk rejection. |

If you don't talk to her regularly and she doesn't know who you are it would be quite a creepy using a gimmick if you know where she lives and have been studying her habits. It's almost Halloween, dress as a creepy clown and hang outside her door quietly. |

Christ Almighty... I said this as a joke. "Funny Idea" = not being entirely serious. A girl accidentally got my mail the other day, legitimately, because her apartment number is the same as mine, but she has different building number. No tricks, no games. She's kind of cute. Probably between 22-25 years old. Probably a medical student because there's a lot of them in this complex. She's from Thailand, or at least her Kik username suggests she is. So I saw, today, that something else showed as delivered on USPS tracking but I never received it. So I went over to her apartment to ask if she had the item. She said no and she couldn't check her mailbox cuz her roommate has the key, but gave me her name on Kik and said "kik me." Anyways, I don't want to engage because I have plans this weekend and I can't get distracted. I plan to wait until Monday or later to "Kik" her. I bought the same item I needed from my mail at the store, so there's no reason for me to Kik her unless it's to start interacting and I have plans this weekend and don't have time to start this and I can't get distracted from my weekend plans because they are really intense and demanding. Her giving me the Kik name isn't necessarily an IOI on her part, but I do make her smile.. but Thailand is literally called the "land of 1000 smiles." Anyways, if I don't even need the mail anymore, I don't have a reason to Kik her but I can do it later. I can tell her I got the item anyways but ask her if anything did show up. What do you suggest? |

So does she have a parcel that belongs to you or no? If yes, then you have an easy excuse to go talk to her. If you do, make some small talk about where she's from, what her daily "gig" is (student/work/etc.) and see if you can relate to any of it. The more you can connect on as quick as possible the better. Ideally, you'll be intrigued by her a little bit and it will spark a genuine interest in you to want to get to know her. You're going to tell her this and ask her out. I'd use something like this "That's awesome. I want to get to know you better. Are you single?" If she says yes, you're going to plan a date on the spot (think about this ahead of time) - and also get her cell #. If she says something about a boyfriend or is hesitant to reply - I'd just thank her for getting you the package and eject from the interaction. |

Quote: So does she have a parcel that belongs to you or no? If you're going to follow this route, let's fix it. Don't small talk...flirt. Flirting establishes attraction and creates the one connection that you actually need so that she wants to get to know you better, while small talk tends to be rather boring. Boring doesn't build attraction. Don't ask if she's single because if she's on the fence about going out with you, she'll more than likely use that as an excuse to not go out.

You initiate a normal human interaction with flirting in a parcel pick up scenario? If she's remotely conservative, and *authentic* Asian girls are (plus med student?!), she might get scared off. Hell, most girls will be, unless he's a really good looking guy and they are instantly attracted. Small talk isn't boring. Small talk is what normal people do when they don't know anything about one another. Once there's a basic level of comfort established (knowing a little bit about one another) you can get flirty. He needs to open up and connect to her to show her who he really is as quickly as possible. This will polarize her one way or another. Flirting doesn't generate attraction. It begins sexual escalation. That's like jumping to step 3 instead of doing step 1) generating attraction and 2) building comfort and trust. Flirting is going to take WAY more effort and confidence to pull off effectively. Not to mention, how is he going to flirt? Just saying "flirt" is way too vague. I don't see him pulling that off in that situation. And yes, use the "are you single" line - the "on the fence" women need to be written off. Not indecisive bullshit. Too many other women around to be worth the time.

Hell, you don't know what flirting is...so you dismiss it as being possible. BTW...you can use the forum search features to clear up the vagueries that you don't understand when it comes to flirting. |

Boring small talk is boring. Boring people are boring. I never told him to talk about the weather or the local sports team. Stop projecting. Also, stop telling guys to jump from step 1 to step 3.
