where is the line between being social and annoying? the reason I ask this question: there is this customer that goes to the coffee shop that i often go to. i dont know what his problem is. he goes to random people and asks random questions. example: today he asked someone "are you a psychologist?" he asked someone else "are you a doctor? you look like a doctor" he asked someone else "is that the new iphone?" he asked someone else "what ethnicity are you?" is that annoying? most people didn't seem annoyed, but I find it annoying, probably because i am more judgmental than the average person. how do i know whether i am being the annoying "this guy thinks he is so cool but he is not" type of guy? |

This is the best question I have seen starting in all of this. I have read all the forums and guides and can't find an answer to this without starting blind. I can talk to a woman at work or at a party, but at Starbucks or at the park, I don't want to be annoying or weird. The beginner guides are too advanced. |

The line is this: How you make people feel. If they enjoy your company then you being social is good. If your annoying them then its bad. |

Honestly, if you have been interacting with people all your life you can tell when you're starting to irk someone. Just be more aware of what's happening. |

A lot of guys are so holed up in their own thoughts that they fail to see when another person's attraction / openness dwindles. Personally I don't ask bullshit questions unless it's something I was truly interested in knowing. |
