when texting a girl you only just met, is it needy to say "good night". my friend argues that you should only say that to your girl friend(s). |

What do you hope to accomplish by texting good night? |

Ehhhhhhh it is a useless text unless you're using it as a way to end the conversation |

If it's princess's bed time try replacing "good night" with "What are you wearing?" |

For what purpose? Just randomly out the blue? Are you asking whether or not texting a girl good night before she goes helps secure you a lay? |

this might have sounded like a stupid question but I am glad I asked. As you have all made me realize to not send many similar texts which also serve no purpose |

If a girl you like says good night, say good night back. But I would not initiatie out of the blue "good night", only to end a conversation. I've gotten into this over-thinking before, and would never reply back to girl's good nights. It made me look cold and robotic and got me in trouble more than once. |

I guess I have a bit of a different way to look at it. To me, if you are not sure where you stand with a girl or know that she may be attracted to you but you haven't made yourself appealing at an emotional level...I would not text her "good night". If you know a girl is into you then you can't lose by texting her "good night". Every little thing that shows that you are thinking about her, real or game, is going to come off as endearing (as long as you don't overdo it). So I'd advise that you gauge where you stand with women before you take that route. |

I think it's been said before, but I view this as pretty straightforward. If you're texting around bed time with her, then it makes perfect sense to say "good night" either in response to her indicating she's going to sleep or to indicate that you're going to sleep. |
