You don't want to meet anyone that COULD help you because you have already decided to want to fail.

Meeting an instructor would imply action on your behalf, something that you are just too fearfull of. I don't think you have a chance till you find professional help.

I got myself into a shitty situation today. I have a client who is also kind of my friend. He was my client first but then we got a little closer, we are not that close but we are close to the point that we talk about getting pussy and smoking weed. Sometimes I go to his office to do my work. He has this MILF assistant. I have talked to you guys about her before. It's the one that I have a huge crush on. until today I thought I liked her. Today I went to the office and she came to me and started talking about this and that. she is very talkative and can talk all day. So during the conversation she says "I am spontaneous" whatever Then I said "Yeah, I know you're spontaneous" She said "how do you know I am spontaneous? I told you before?" I said "no, but I know people like you" meaning I know other people that are like her so I know her personality traits. she said "what do you mean by people like me?" OK let me back track a little. She is half black. she is very sensitive about race. I was already aware of that. she is sensitive about 2 things: her race and her weight, despite the fact that she is so perfect in my eyes. so she said "what do you mean by people like me?" knowing that she is sensitive about race, like an idiot, I said "I mean people of your race." by her facial expression I could tell she was offended so I said "just kidding, just kidding" then she started interrogating me "no, but what did you mean? what exactly did you mean when you said that?" the rest of the conversation was basically her interrogating me and me nervously trying to cover my ass, and the tone of the conversation was also a little fighty. at some point I remember saying "my private life is none of your business"? why I said that, I dont remember. I dont know why I think if someone is sensitive about something, I can use that to flirt with them. That's like someone joking about my short height (I am 5'6" and sensitive about it). How is that funny? Why am I so stupid? By the way, this is not totally my fault. I would say it's 80% my fault and 20% her fault. she has a habit of misinterpreting everything in an insecure way. one time I told her "you look good in white, since you have dark skin, it's a nice contrast" she says "you mean I am black?" She is the kind of person that goes to the boss and tells the boss these things. I have seen her talk shit about other employees to the boss before. in fact, she has a habit of doing that. she would totally do that to me. and if she does, it's going to look so bad, I might even get fired. This is a major client of mine and I cant afford to lose them. What should I do at this point? I was thinking of getting her a flower? or should I just pretend nothing happened and hope she forgets? I am so screwed. I will never try to flirt again.

Knowing she's very sensitive about race, you made a 'quip' racially stereotyping her to her face? And then you told her to keep her nose out of your business when she asked for an explanation of the remark. I hope that wasn't because you said you attend KKK rallies at the weekend too! For another 'joke.' If she's the type to kick up a stink, this could really blow up in your face. HR won't care who's fault it is, and for the sake of his own neck, maybe her boss will go with her side - because it's about how she felt as much as what was actually said, and it sounds like you two were the only parties to the conversation. You could be about to lose a client, and if you're not self-employed and your boss gets informed for why, then your job. I hope not, but if she's as drama-filled, sensitive and confrontational as you've suggested, I don't see any happy endings here for you.

I don't think you have a chance till you find professional help. you're right that you were the first to bring that to my attention. but at that instant, 2 things were happening in my mind: 1) I thought it's funny BECAUSE she is sensitive to it. I can't tell something is inappropriate. I cant see things from other people's point of view. The way I figured how inappropriate it is was by putting myself in that situation. what am I sensitive about? my height. what if someone joked about my height? I would hate that person. at that moment, I realized oh shit, that was inappropriate. 2) "Don't say it. Don't say it." it's like "don't think of a pink elephant" the more I thought "don't say it" the more I was forced to say it. Also, I just cant work under pressure, I cant think on my feet. having a girl talk to me is pressure. I think at this point anything I do is an admission of guilt so I will just act normal?
