I read some article saying that bedding virgins is probably the best way to have a successful relationship. Any guys with experience on that matter? |

I would say this could be true if were both virgins and love smittened with one another I think the article should talk more about virgins becoming clingy about you after they pop their cherry to you. |

The obvious answer is: depends on the virgin. Some of the worst dates in my life were with virgins who either didn't show their feelings, or didn't have any feelings (imagine dating a girl who let you kiss and bed her, but who doesn't give a single shit).But I guess the article was more about how virgins see their first partner as magically special, and are not as cynical/realistic as girls who have been in the hands of assholes. |

I'm currently seeing this chick (20) who was a virgin before me, came across that article and wanted to know what does rest of the community think about it. My opinion: it's okay, at least for now, about 5 months into relationship, 10 months since we first meet. Can't help but wonder, when I lost my virginity for the first time, I only though about fucking and bedding other women and how it feel great to have that "power" or whatever. |

What's a successful relationship? A "lasting" one? Being in a toxic relationship and not breaking up simply because "they were your first" is hardly successful. |

Nono, I agree with you. What I meant by successful and healthy is having sex every time you two see each other, mutual respect, giving each other space, not being clingy etc. Also, on the side note, I firmly believe that girl that before her 20 had more than 3 sex partners is different in relationship than a women who had sex with five guys under the same age.

I think it's worse. A previous virgin will always have a burning desire to experiment. Male and female. Having had more partners is a good way to recognize the value of your current one with greater clarity. I generally dislike statistics on this forum because statistics apply to the general population, which by definition, is average. We encourage guys to be above average. Exceptions to the rule. Unless it's absurd, I don't think the number of sex partners you've had defines how much girlfriend material you are. I mean if you fucked 50 different dudes by 21, and have all their names written in a journal (true story), you should be able to tell she's not serious material way before you find out about that specific detail. There's plenty of red flags until that point. What I'm saying is, a slut is a slut because she has the character traits of a slut. Not because she banged 10 dudes before she turned 24. |
