Wow, what a terrible attitude. Work on ditching the mopey attitude. I'm 40, and only date 20-somethings. Here's what I've learned from a physical standpoint: 1. Carbs below 80 grams a day. This is the #1 reason why older guys all look the same (puffy faced, paunchy, pizza tits, etc). 2. No drinking (ages you, fast). Follow Jared Leto's program. 3. No red meat (another ager). 4. Must hit weights at the gym. So important. Every other day, one hour. In six months you'll be thrilled. 5. If you are balding, shave your head. See if it looks better smooth bald or with some "stubble" like Statham. Grow a beard to balance it out. For an example, look at the difference between Walter White in Breaking Bad. At the beginning, he looked weak, and his look then became more dominant after shaving his head and growing a beard. No girl wants a weak look. And yes, not every girl wants a shaved head and beard...but MANY love that dominant look. Dude, you're only 40. I've had sex with a dozen 20-somethings in the last year (I've been exclusive for seven months too). Your confidence sucks right now. Get to the gym. Follow an appropriate diet. WORK at becoming what you want to attract. Keep your TV only for when a girl comes over. Get off the couch. Buy a Kindle and read books. Go to the record store and pick up some new music. Head to the local museums. Go on hikes. This is a process. The change begins now. |

You're younger than me, but from the time I started out in 2006 I had doubts about my age and wondered the same things, so I understand where you're coming from. So as per the comments above, I'll restate that you're not too old! It can feel that way as most of the pickup "gurus" are in their 20s, but some of the older community names are catching up in age now! A lot of the advice is aimed at the younger man, because that's the main market. They tell you age doesn't matter but they're not speaking from experience! And in that regard, I don't hold with the frat boy brand of game that gets touted by the younger crowd, I think you have to re-work a lot of that advice: you can't go whooping and hollering around a classy lounge bar high-fiving everyone like Borat on speed in your forties for instance. If you're 41, don't act like you're 21. I also don't think it's conducive to your self-esteem to hang out in places with a crowd that's obviously way too young for you either. It's great to hook-up with younger women, but find the right venues for yourself, I don't think hanging out at a student bar will reap you rewards. I'm speaking generally when I say "you" BTW, but be good to hear what your experiences have been. Most twenty-somethings these days are on an extended adolescence to their thirties, being a man, not a boy, is no bad thing. |
