they say women like a guy who doesn't take himself seriously. or doesn't take life seriously. or whatever, you know what I am talking about. (maybe there is a "too" in there. "too seriously") but as proven by my failures, women dont like comedians. and when I look at a guy in public, his sexiness is directly related to how seriously he takes himself. The sexy guys are always those who take themselves pretty damn seriously, the ones that think they are a somebody. so do women like a guy who takes himself seriously or not? what does it mean to take yourself seriously or to take life seriously? |

How can you know that a guys sexiness is directly related to him taking himself seriously? What qualifies sexy? Is it how women are responding to him that leads you to believe he is sexy? Maybe he's doing something other than just taking himself seriously. Like, oh, I dunno, maybe he's just listening to what the other person is saying rather than thinking about what lines to pull to make them think he is sexy. |

Jay, I don't know who is "they" but I have heard this many times that women like a guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. I assess sexiness based on how sexy I think the guy appears to me. when a guy has his chin up, has a serious face, I think he is more sexy than a guy who is making weird faces and trying to be funny. the guy who takes himself seriously and thinks he is a somebody appears more sexy to me. |

That's horse shit. Self-deprecation is low-value humor. Your humor should tease and challenge her to rise up to your level -- not bring yourself down to her's.For example, the other day I was talking to a cute girl, and she mentioned something about a great documentary. Instead of jumping up like 99% of guys to say "Oh my god, I totally agree!" or whatever bullshit, instead I teased her by saying, "No way. Get out. Are... -- Are you serious right now? How did you know that documentary is my absolute favorite? Are you like trying to impress me right now?" Your humor should challenge her. Your job isn't to impress her -- you are a man on a fucking path to greatness (well, not you, because you don't give a shit about yourself yet, no offense) -- you're just bringing her along for the ride. |
