Just estimate what the person is like . But open your eyes, your ears and your mind. You can tell a lot about a person from the way they dress, how they look and how they talk. You can even assume things by the way they interact with the world. Does she stop and appreciate the flowers ? " you seem to be the kind of girl that appreciates the little things in life"... Blah blah blah


A simple cold read is like seeing a chick in workout clothes " you seem like the type that cares about her looks, blah blah"... See where I'm going with this ?


It also gives you an edge in the field when you learn body language. Lately, since I have been going out so much I have been able to get down certain patterns. I can tell when someone is comfortable or when someone is looking for an out.

A cold read doesn't have to be right or wrong.

The purpose of it is to gather more information and open them up so you can really get into a conversation about a topic that you want. Sometimes it is even better when you get it wrong because they will correct you and you can move it from there

For example "I bet you love it doggystyle"... sets the frame that the topic is sex.

Whatever her answer is you can now stay on that topic and dig ...

Her reply might be: "Ohh my god what makes you think that, I actually don't like it that much"...

Then you can continue from there "*laugh*, I just assumed... how do you know though? are there other positions that you find better?" (flirtatiously)...

Depending on her answer you would reply accordingly...

It is pretty specific. I'm not telling you guess what they are like. If you pay attention to their dress of style, the way they talk, and even how they interact with you can get creative. I suggest you practice a little more to see what I'm trying to get at. Just start cold reading at bars or at your workplace. Don't just use women either. Cold read the dudes. Your boss, whoever.



And there's a list of IOIs somewhere in the forums. I don't really look for them anymore. I kind of just start talking and being flirty. If it goes somewhere cool, if it doesn't , oh well. Looking for IOIs wastes mental time for me. I'd rather focus on the conversation and listening for key phrases that I can spin into a joke or a tease. I focus on fun.
