Hey guys,

So i have a really personal question. I have an ex gf I broke up with a year and a half ago. I cheated on her on new yeas, she found out and sent me a message sending me to hell. I never wrote her back, I wasn't man enough to face the situation. Well fast forward I got better, read a lot of pua and started dating lots of girls. I mean it was all going good, I decided that I wanted one of these girls as my girlfriend. Now i've been 5 months in a relationship and I'm not happy. I dream about my ex gf almost every night. I miss her and I want to get back together with her. I even called her one a month ago (first time we talk). I could tell her heart skipped a beat. I only called to apologize because what I have done and meet with her. Now I saw a picture of her hugging some guy and i feel this deep sadness.

I need some advice don't know what should I do with my current situation and what I can do to get my gf back any advice ?

Hey Dragula, thanks for your input, Is there anything that can be done in the long run. If i keep improving is there a chance in the future for us to be together? I have improved myself a lot from when we broke up. I grew up a lot emotionally and also the value that I give myself. I started a company that is under Alphabet (former Google) in my country. I am getting ready to go do my MBA at Harvard Business School. I have really grown as a person and I can say I am happy. I just feel like I think about her a lot and before I let my insecurity take over me (when I cheated) I would see us married. I decided that sincerely apologizing would be the best thing. Better late than never

Thanks Dice for your advice. It is true I wasn't happy. Back then I didn't stand up for myself and was really needy (I'm still working on this) but I've gotten a lot better. I didn't take responsibility as my role as man. This also made her unhappy and easy to step over me in the relationship. I have learned a lot through this forum and experience and have changed in the process.

Let's address your current girlfriend. You're not happy with her and yet you stay. The right thing to do would be quit wasting her time by being in a relationship that isn't making you happy.

Second, I doubt that even if you got her back that you could change the original dynamic.

The kindest thing you can do for her is let her be. If she's in fact in a new relationship it would be only for selfish motives to contact her and potentially disrupt that. You had your chance, accept that back then you were a different person and grow from the experience. Allow room for someone new in your life, and to allow her the freedom to move on with hers.
