Hi guys I have been going out night gaming a lot recently and decided to stop drinking most nights I go out. I was just wondering how many people here go to clubs and bars while not drinking and how you manage to not look out of place. Wouldn't a guy approaching women at bars and clubs be perceived creepy if he isn't drinking, I mean why else be there? |

A diet coke looks the same as diet coke and vodka.

It might benefit you to try it before you judge what it will be like. |

Since when the fuck did not drinking become creepy? You could be on antibiotics because you had a cold. Quote: Wouldn't a guy approaching women at bars and clubs be perceived creepy if he isn't drinking, I mean why else be there?
Because that's where he wants to be at that moment?Anyway, OP, between a drunken slob and a sober dude a woman would prefer the latter's company any day. |

I drink shandy's when I'm out (half beer half lemonade). It looks like a proper pint of beer but much lower alcohol, so after a couple you get that slight relaxation that's sometimes helpful. I like it because I can always have a drink on the go but take far longer to get drunk. So it kinda acts like a placebo (research shows that the placebo affect can work even when the person knows its a placebo) so you'll get in the state of confidence and less inhibited that comes with drunkness, yet you wont be slurring your words or wobbling. I know this isnt 'not drinking' but its just another way to go if your were so inclined. As to the 'creepy' issue, it's really a non-issue. HOWEVER it can change with age. If your young and not drinking people will naturally assume you're driving or medication or whatever. But apparently, if an older man doesnt drink, women may assume they are an alcoholic. This may not be true but this is the impression ive got from chatting to women. Probably not something to worry about though, just an interesting thought. |

If you want the confidence boost with out the hangovers and - $80 Check out a herb called Kratom - pretty much same effects as alcohol but without the bad stuff, interesting stuff |

Or grab a fucking beer and nurse it throughout the night. The anti drinking crowd in pickup is so silly because they write a narrative that you either stay stone cold sober or drop $100 and be a wasted wreck. Go to teh bar, get a water, talk to people, finish the water, get a good drink, something you'll savor, sip on that for an hour, then fuckin leave! |

I hate spending money on expensive drinks.... I also have this problem, but it's mostly about the owners of the places etc not liking that you frequent their places and enjoy their installations without consuming. |

Buy one drink, even a lemonade to help you sleep at night

Drinking: - Hangover - Slower Reaction Time - Bad Judgement - Fake Confidence Boost - Crowd Following (Do you really want to drink or are you just doing it because it's a norm?) - Having To Wait In Lines And State Drop/Less Time On Actually Picking Up - Inability To Reflect On Sticking Points - Girls Are Usually Turned Off By Drunk Guys Not Drinking: - Complete Core Confidence - Quick, Sharp Thinking - Able To Focus Completely On The Pick Up - Better Sex - Feeling Great The Next Day - Quicker Self Reflection and Learning - Better Quality Girls - Keep Your Money In Your Pocket Drinking is a little weird if you ask me. But then again, are bars and clubs really going to profit much if they only sell apple juice and give out water? The primary target for income of these places is from males who spend money on drinks and stuff. Why do you think a lot of places let girls in for free? The hot girls usually only have one or two at the start of the night anyway, they're not dumb and they know what they're doing. A lot of them just use alcohol as an excuse to have some fun and let loose, I can have fun and be confident without it, most girls I bring home are usually completely sober by the time we're actually fucking and appreciate the fact that I am too. Get water or soda, tip the bartender when you do. The owner probably isn't even there most places, and the bartenders only care about their tips. Plus you're drinking something, who's to say there's not rum in that coke. |

DJ makes a good point. It's not either you drink and get drunk. You can have a drink and water and be fine. Heck, even get a glass of water alone just to be hydrated. Drinking does not equal getting drunk. Getting drunk with women is never a good thing, but develop a taste for alcohol (unless you have alcoholism or something). Get a drink with your friends sometimes. Keep some drinks at your place for friends or if girls come over. Drink something you like, regulate how much you drink, or get a weaker version.
