| Post subject: | The Transition to Routines |
I've done my homework, I know the format. I open, I give the false time constraint (all very smoothly), but this is where you have to improv a little.. and i have the most trouble. Any good ways to transition? MORE IMPORTANTLY, does anyone have some good routines that'll work for newbies? thanks. |

I take it you're using Mystery Method. Let's just say that you're using an opinion opener. For the sake of this post, we'll use the "who lies more" opener. Approach set: "Hey guys, I need a quick opinion on something." False Time Constraint: "I can only stay a minute"(body rocking) Into The Routine: "...But who lies more? Men or women?" I've found that the trick is playful banter. Poke fun, play around, etc. "No way! Well, I know she lies" "That is so cute!" (A la Lance Mason). Chat with them about it for a few minutes but cut them off after a while. It sucks when an opener runs its course and you're standing there lookin' like a faggot lol I personally wouldn't use the opinion routine. Everybody and their grandma has used it. Just gave it as an example. Anyway, hope that helped. |
