Post subject:  No response day before date?
So, I talked to a girl over OKC and we got along well, we texted back and forth, she agreed to a date, I told her I'd text her day before the date. Waited 2 days. Texted her today asking her "Hey X just wanted to confirm our 8pm tomorrow." No reply. What do I do.

We're missing details around how you set up the date, and how your interaction went but it sounds pretty flimsy and/or the attraction really wasn't there.

Online is like that.

Have any self-respect? (She sure doesn't have any respect for you, so I hope so), block her number and find someone who actually wants to date you and respects your time.

Receiving a text like that would arouse absolutely 0 excitement in me. It just screams average, plain and boring. Dime a dozen. Try having a bit of fun with it, huh?

Anyway, don't go around doing other peoples' jobs for them. You said you were gonna text and you did. Rest is up to her. If she doesn't take is someone else will.
What to do? Don't hold your breath and talk to other women.

When a woman is interested in you, more often and than not she will contact you the day of the date to make sure its still on.

The fact that you still have a desire to "do something" else after she's already wasted your time to me reflects the reason she flaked in the first place. Its neediness and I'm sure that was communicated subtly in your interaction.

I'd say, give her a call, it couldn't hurt.

That being said, she is GOING to flake. Don't worry about it too much, continue to improve the process of getting numbers and converting these into dates.

She's going to flake, i've had this happen many times on PoF and OKC, which is why I stoped with online dating. She'll probably text you at the last minute to cancel the date, or not at all..

In the future talking to them on the phone instead of texting can prevent some of your flaking.

Hi first of all I wouldn't tell her you're going to confirm. Comes across needy. Just do it if you want (or go forward without confirmation but high flake factor in online dating) And I wouldn't wait for her to confirm. Women generally won't do that unless they're really into you which typically doesn't happen before they even meet you. A guy I met recently set up a date with me and confirmed very subtly by texting me the day before about some interesting stuff he wanted to talk about next day. It confirmed without being needy. I responded and voila we had confirmation without the formal back and forth. If I didn't respond then he'd figure I would likely flake.

Sometimes they're running late or got caught up. God knows how many times I've done the same.
