I have mentioned this on this forum before, one of the things I do is translation work. if someone needs a translator at a medical appointment or unemployment hearing or whatever, I will go and translate. I have also mentioned how I always interpret ambiguous events against me. did the girl look at the floor? that's because she doesn't like me. Did the girl look at me? that's because she is thinking "who is this weirdo." Did the girl laugh? that's because she is making fun of me. Did the girl look at her phone? that's because she believes I am worthless. so this past week this 75 year old guy came to the USA and needed a tour guide/translator. Everywhere we went, he would check out all the young girls, girls in their 20s. He was very obvious about it. he would just stare and the girls would notice. my interpretation of the girls looking at him: creepy old guy. but that wasn't his interpretation. His interpretation was always something along the lines of: "by the way she was looking at me, I know she wanted me" once he started flirting with a girl and she said "I have a boyfriend" my interpretation: "bitch. just trying to get rid of me by a lame excuse" you wanna hear his interpretation? "she liked me but her problem was she had a boyfriend. if she didn't have a boyfriend she would be all over me" and he was not lying. I did some tests on him, and concluded he honestly believes these. At first, I thought he is ridiculous. But then I realized we both have the same disease. I interpret everything too negative, he interprets everything too positive. but it's the same disease. interesting. |

LOL Sometimes truthfully the girl really does just have a boyfriend. Old dude's 75 though, that in itself is probably a disqualified to most girls save for some gold diggers. |

Its better to think like him than it is to think like you man. Whether he's right on wrong, his away of thinking allows him to be a lot happier. He's mentally building himself up throughout the day, while you're bringing yourself down. It is the "assuming of attraction" that allows you to feel attractive enough to approach women in the first place. If you don't feel attractive, or think women find you attractive, what would be your motivation for approaching? And what type of attitude would you be approaching with if you assumed a woman wasn't going to like you? He likes himself it sounds like, and you don't. People that like themselves, assume other people are going to like them too. And that confidence is part of the reason people find them attractive. |

He's right. Pay attention to this.

Which guy do you think will have more success with women (having more opportunities to seduce, specifically)? 1) the guy who ASSUMES all women are attracted to him and its his task to open them or 2) the guy who ASSUMES women are not attracted to him and he has to put in a dog-and-pony show to gain their attraction Don't answer. Just think to yourself and make your own decision. |
