Hey, it's been about one month into this game for me. I broke up with my 7-year girlfriend, and I decided that I had to learn how to pick up girls. After reading this stuff on this forum, I decided that I want to not only be able to be able to pick up women, but I want to be a PUA! So, I'm basically working on my 'attitude' every single day whether it's around females or not. I'm just working on the whole alpha thing. Basically, I can safely say that I don't have much AA when it comes to bar situations. I pretty much don't give a shit anymore about what girls in bars think about me (of course I'm still trying to pick them up, but I'm just not worried about what they think about me). I'd say that I'm happy with this accomplishment after only 1 month. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm no casanova or anything. I can open sets, start conversations, but keeping them interested and turning the fluff talk crap into sexual talk is still not working out for me. I think that this is still partially due to the fact that I'm not 100% confident. As far as the alpha attitude goes, I noticed that by acting more mascline, and not supplicating in any way, I am getting more female attention. For instance, there was these 2 older women sitting at the bar the other night right next to the pool table that I was playing on. It was my shot on the table, and I walked up to them and said "Mind if I put my beer here?" But I then just put it down instantly and took my shots on the table. I didn't wait for a response. Well guess what? These 2 older women would not stop flirting with me after that. Of course, my lack of conversational skills with women screwed me up, so I didn't go anywhere with them either, but I still learned that the alpha attitude is attractive. Another example of the alpha attitude happened that same night as another bar. There was this cute Asian girl playing on the pool table, so I walked up to her, and said "who's up?" As I put my arm around her (nice kino!) She said, "well there's quarters on the table, but I'm not sure who's playing next." I then said, "Okay, fuck it! I'm up" While I whooped her ass like 5 times at pool, she kept flirting with me and putting her arm around me just like I did to her. I maintained my alpha frame like I wasn't interested in her, and I watched all kinds of other guys hit on her during our pool games. After a while, I decided that I was going to go for her. She was dancing a lot while she wasn't shooting, so I just walked up to her from behind and started grinding with her. BAD IDEA!!! The instant I showed interest, was the instant she lost interest. I stepped out of the mindset that I'm not interested, and she instantly lost interest. Whatever, it was a learning experience, and now I know. Day game - still a trouble spot for me. What I have been doing about that is to just start talking to everyone that works behind the counter of whatever store I happen to be in. I was always one of those guys that quietly stands in line, then pays for the stuff without talking to the cashier, then leaves. Well, now I've been practicing trying to just talk to all of them about whatever I can think of. Once I try a few day approaches, I think I will be cured of my day game AA, but I'm still a bit nervous about it. Work - I say what I want to whoever I want. I stopped giving a shit about what anyone at my work thinks about me. The one hot girl that I work with is actually interested in me now since my attitude change. Positive thoughts - I keep telling myself stuff like, "You only live once, might as well make it as fun as possible." and "What's the worst that can happen if I get rejected - I gain experience, a little more confidence, and I learn something? Sounds good to me!" Basically, it's been a month since I got into learning 'the game'. It's a lifestyle change that I don't talk about to anyone but the people on this forum and another similar forum. I think I'm stepping in the right direction, but I still have a long ways to go until I have the ability to get any woman that I want. How long did it take most of you to go from AFC to PUA? And what are some of the steps you took in the process? I'd like to get as many responses as possible, because I think many others are probably wondering the same thing. Thanks in advance. |

It doesnt take much time fellow... I was an AFC when I didnt know about these forums.... after you know you dont have to act like an AFC.... deal with a new girl....... and you'll see the change pretty soon |

I honestly dont think the hard part is going from AFC personality to PUA personality its just hard to go out and use ur NON AFC knowledge on real live girls rather than keep all the thoughts in ur mind. |

People are different, it takes time for you to find the right style, to find the confidence, to understand your style, to learn how to use intuition to turn shit tests into value raisers. Pick up is a SKILL therefore it takes time and their are so many variables that it is impossible to define an average time for mastery. Just enjoy the learning experience and the rewards. Cheers |
