Post subject:  Friends - Losing one by one

The last few years I have noticed that I am losing friends, ones that were really good friends, one by one. I'm not sure im handling it right and would like an opinion.

My best mate - Went travelling together a few years ago, had an amazing time, spent all the last few years of school, we had plans to go to college together, he got a gf, did a boring job, i went to college, travelled the world etc.... he text me all the time, boring shit about he has work today, tomorrow etc.... He will never make effort to hang out, only text, and will hang out when his gf is not busy. Therefore I ignore alot of his texts now as they have been the same for 4 years. I'm always second best and usually drop my plans to see him, to later find out hes only seeing me as his gf is busy.

My best girl mate - we used to hang out loads, she gets a bf and i rarely get a text back.

3 close girl friends - 1 got a bf and doesnt want anything to do with me, when i spoke to her she says i was a different part of her life and she cant no longer talk to me? Another i know she cheated on her bf, therefore has gone from talking to me every day to never. And the last one i thought we were good friends, and she didn't message me back a couple of times and said she would call me, never did, not heard from her since.

Random group of guy friends - Was at one time close to them all, they all got girl friends and act as though they have now made it in life, i start off giving them a few chances to hang out, usually by the 3rd, 4th, 5th time of inviting them and they tell me they are "busy" cuddling, i say ok, and dont invite them after as whats the point? I have recently noticed that they have all gone out and not invited me becase a couple of occasions they have been pissed that i've not invited them out. Kinda annoys me a bit.

I have been at college the last few years so need to start making new friends really, but what do I do about my old friends? Is it harsh that I give up on them?

Come back to them at another time. Usually people like to hang out with people that provide them with some value to their lives. just the harsh truth of the matter.

I guess if they are all horny for kids and being bitches to their gf's I can't really provide anything but sympathy. With regards to contact, do i try? or just wait for them to contact me?

Just get your life together, be doing interesting things, don't worry about them right now. You can contact them at a later date. It doesn't hurt to make new friends though.

Dude life is hard get use to it. Go and get some gf when your social value is high everyone will drop their planes for you. So be confident and get a gf everything else will come to you itself. Let them feel the same way for you.

Not really right, but for 80%!

Don't you think, if ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS are leaving, you should look deeply inside yourself! may be you do smth wrong? Think about that

As for new ones... Old friend is better than 2 new ones
