I've found the "fake it til you make it" mindset can actually work over time. (It's sort of like affirmations)

But the catch is, it's a paradox.

To make these kinds of things work, you have to truly believe in what you're telling yourself but the reason you're doing them in the first place is to get true beliefs.

Hope that made sense,

You either use positive affirmations or negative ones. Sometimes both. I do think its smart to influence yourself to use primarily positive ones. As far as waking up and saying 100 positive affirmations in the mirror or something no...

I've read something recently on the subconscious about why affirmations at times do no work the way that we should like them to.

Because they are conflicting with our current reality and that is simple canceling them out.

An affirmation such as " I am wealthy" is cancelled out immediately after the guy says it, looks around and sees that he is not.

The way to program the subconscious is just to use one word. Use the word and relish in the feelings the word produces. For example.. Repeat to yourself " WEALTH... WEALTH... Wealth... wealth.. " over and over and enjoy the feelings, thoughts, and visualizations produced by you dwelling on the word wealth.

That doesn't conflict with your reality. You are simply relishing in the feelings of wealth. You aren't trying to force it into your life. You're just enjoying it. And that is how it comes.
