Post subject:  Social Anxiety when not drunk ):

At this moment in my life, when i go to a party, it's hard for me to talk and get out of my comfort zone and come up with constant conversation when i am sober.

When i am drunk, i am the exact opposite, and i meet tons of people and tend to even be the life of the party and i can mostly all of the time, keep conversations fun and exciting. I also meet everyone there.

I love when i am in that state, but i really don't want to rely on drinks to get there.

Do you guys have any advice on how to overcome this?

Socialize more when you are sober. :/

I stopped drinking about a year ago. I take St John's Wort every day, gives you a nice constant buzz in the back of your head. Bit like a really mild dose of MDMA/ecstasy. Makes me feel as confident and less inhibited as I did when I was drinking but without the side effects. The nice thing is it is there all the time. Rarely feel any approach anxiety since starting using it.

Just stop drinking man.

I used to be like that too and then I began to feel like shit about myself. "Why is it that I'm only that COOL when i'm drunk". So I just stopped and decided that I was no longer going to cheat myself. I was going to learn it the hard way. It would tough at first, but the benefits are well worth it. It allows you to be that guy even when you're not in settings that require drinking.

If you want something bad enough it's yours. You just have to be willing to make the sacrifice for that thing.
