Thanks for your reply. Just to be clear though, I don't have a stutter and my voice tonality isn't bad at all. I just want to improve it more so I can get people to listen to me and talk over me. And ofcourse to improve my game. When I was living in london, 2 years ago I knew of few places that taught you how to project your voice but I couldn't afford that at the time. So apart from youtube videos, would you know anything specific on this topic? Cheers |

Again, on you tube, try a beginner's singing lesson to learn how to speak from the chest so your voice goes loud without sounding like "screaming". |

It's confidence and interest. Anyone who tries to sell you some crap about "projecting your voice" is making a quick buck from a chump. The more confident you become the more interesting you become by default. You stop looking and coming across as sheepish which in itself commands respect, at least in how people are willing to listen to you. If you have a sheepish or meek voice it's usually because you're hiding your voice due to lack of self-esteem and confidence. The more confident you become naturally the more outspoken you become and your voice changes slightly to a lower, deeper pitch. Confidence is key, focus on that and everything will slot into place. |

Vocal projection is a minor sticking point I would say and very easily fixed. Solution : Go out more, talk to more people, girls, boys and be conscious of your tonality, talk louder if you feel like you are low. Make an effort to be heard, talk LOUD until your voice gets use to it. Train it as much as you can , in the morning just recite random shit as loud as you can, do this throughout the day until you get use to your new more dominating voice. Is like boxing, you punch and punch until you get use to punchig hard. Same is your voice, talk loud talk loud until you can control your levels, now go ! Good luck |

good responses from everyone! thank you!! I guess the reason I wrote this on the forum is because I've been told from close friends that I come across as if i am shouting while i'm just trying to be louder. September is the time of the year where I go out almost every night so this sticking point should be solved I guess. |

What your close friends dont understand is you are working on your tonality, dont be annoying but keep trying to talk louder than normal until you can control it and it doesnt sound like your shouting. Your voice is your samurai sword, master it, sharpen it, eventually you'll be slicing bitches wide open Theres no limit to how good your voice can get. This is a common sticking point, I had it too. Now my voice is so sharp girls get wet automatically. Because im comfortable with any tone. Comes very in handy. Keep it up ! |

Cheers in advance Study the delivery of stand up comedians . In fact I did stand up comedy myself to help my delivery. Chris Rock, Bill Burr, Louis CK, Kevin Hart... whichever your favorite is haha but tonality is a MUST for comedians. |

I can relate with this. My friends and people close to me said the same thing several years back. It's fixed now. How? Sing at videoke bars. Start with fast and loud rock songs and then mellow down with slow love songs. You'll learn to calibrate when reaching high octaves to progressing deep with lower octaves and keeping your voice mellow or loud depending on the song. Sample Song Selection 1. Blaze of Glory - Bon Jovi 2. Boys Don't Cry - The Cure 3. Your Guardian Angel - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus 4. High - The Speaks 5. Low - Flo Ri Da 6. Bed of Roses - Bon Jovi 7. Later - Fra Lippo Lippi 8. The Final Countdown - Europe The vocal range and variety of the above selection will give you the vocal exercise you need while still having fun. |

Quote: Seriously it came to my mind before. As much as i would love to do that, but there is not one single karaoke bar in the city where i live in.. For the time being, i'm just trying to higher my voice pitch and go for breaking rapport tonality with everyone until it becomes part of me ))
Hmm. Must be the copyright licensing for those songs. Some karaoke machines, I think, get bulk licensing and those are on sale in some appliance stores. You can also search on Youtube for karaoke bar songs, plug your computer to a good sound system and start singing at home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s1Z8eps4Uc Just choose songs from singers who are chick magnets. You'll know what I mean. Many girls find this singing style, vocal tone and projection sexy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAP9AF6DCu4 |
