ok, i'm beginning the stylelife challenge, and at the beginning the tasks are small talking random people. i can do situational stuff, but i want to be able to walk up to people asking things like "what peanut butter is better, crunchy or creamy" and "have you seen any good movies." thing is i am having trouble convincing myself to do this. i guess i need somebody to say "yeah, i've done that and not been treated like a total nutjob....? anyone done it? any tips??

Yes I have done stuff like this to build my confidence and not been treated like a nutjob! These are good exercises that are on the StyleLife Academy and will greatly help your game. Style has similar things in his "Rules of the Game" book as well that I've done. You'll be fine! :)

Yeah, I'm starting the Stylelife challenge too. And, once you try it, you may find it easier to ask questions like the peanut butter thing. After all, a WTF? face isn't exactly a rejection. I prefer doing things like that- it's harder for me to actually have regular conversations with complete strangers.

I used to approach with my finger up my nose. It's really awkward and funny the first two or three times you do but then it's like nothing really matters. People will even avoid talking about it. Create a positive, confident frame and have fun with it. Be a nutjob. You'll learn more pushing yourself than by being "normal"

Dude, check this out. As long as the person you are talking to isn't in a hurry or in a really shitty mood, they will answer your question. All humans have opinions, and everyone is always happy to give theirs. Especially on simple topics like that. Just be friendly and have a smile on your face. Everthiny will be ok if you do that.
