Post subject:  help me out of this jam
I started texting with this girl that I had met a long time ago, she didn't know who it was from and responded. Since then it's been anonymous, we exchanged initials and things are escalating. The problem is we know each other and she's going to think I'm either a creep or worse when one of us asks for a meet up and it's clear that we've met before. I guess my options are to
  • come clean
  • meet up and act surprised
  • come up with some story about my contacts getting jacked up in my phone
Any other ideas?

I would assume she already knows who it is and is just seeing how long your going to play that game. So I would just meet up and if she is surprised, I would just act like I'm surprised she didn't know it was me. If she does know it was me, then I guess it doesn't matter because whatever I've been telling her she liked and the goal of connecting to her has been done.

If you make a big deal out of it, she'll make a big deal out of it. Its only creepy if you tell her who you are in a creepy way.

You can text her now " Hey, I figured I'd let you in on a secret.. Its John Appleseed. You free to meet later? :P "

Keep it light hearted and fun. Its really not a big deal. Stop making it one.

Your only option is to come clean.

The only variable on your success is how well you already know each other.

Time is your friend. If you messed up the first time, she either won't remember or will have gotten over it.

Just make sure you don't fuck it up again. Show her you're not the same AFC guy as before.

Well, I waited too long to come clean and she figured it out. She's not very happy and feels played... I apologized and let her know I wasn't playing her but she's not hearing it. I'm going to let her cool off and stay silent for a few weeks and then give her a call and see what the temp is. I don't know if I can recover, but will try.

Your all good. Do like you said. Let it cool for a couple weeks and then text her. But this time when she texts you back. Call her, get in a phone conversation. (Escalation) And go for the meet up.
And I also agree with Lionheart, she probably already knew it was you and is just playing 'women' games. But doesn't matter. Play the game back at her.

Actually, I was thinking of skipping the text and my next move will be to call. It'll be easier for me to pick up where her head is at and I'll push for a meet up if she's responsive.
