Met a girl at a party when I visited Austin, I live in Dallas so it's not too far. Want to keep it going. Any forum post on here regarding how to pick someone up when living in different cities? |

Ok, thanks for the reply....I did attempt searches to see if there is any past posts but did not find anything useful so I wanted to see if someone would refer me to a past thread instead of beginning a whole new one, but ill say more details, not that there really is much more to say. Went to a party in Austin that was on saturday. the party was for young adult singles and everyone had a bunch of mutual friends in common. met the girl, hit it off however she was not drinking that night and had to leave the party earlier due to plans the next morning, however i got # and friended me on the book. Have a lot in common with her and she said she wants to hang when i come back in town and she wont be lame this time because she couldnt drink, etc. I would like to build on the connection from dallas. What are some good ways to do it without seeming so clingy, if that's even how it would look. i.e. random texts that remind me of her that are witty and clever? or should i say ill be back in austin in a couple weeks and plan a weekend of dates with her....any ideas would help. thanks a lot! |

Cool - that's better... and more to go on. Yeah, if you've got her number and you've got her on FB, then you've got all you need to keep the connection alive until you're in Dallas next... When will that be? (are we talking weeks or months or years?)... You can probably pull it off if it's less than a couple months - but any more than that and you're going to fade. Any connection you had will die out and you'll likely get replaced by another interest who's local to her (sucks but it's true... if she's as great as you say, she probably gets hit on frequently). I'd say the position you want to take is to stay in her mind as: 1) A fun, awesome guy 2) Someone who can make her laugh 3) A sexual option To do this, I'd go for 2-3 text sessions a week... and by session I don't mean 'essay'... just friendly "good morning" messages or jokes or funny pics or whatever... If you think you can safely pull it off once you've built enough attraction, get sexual with your messages. Talk about coming to see her (and then talk about what you're going to do to her when you get there) -- Word of warning though: be sure you've built enough interest and you're going to get a positive response if you decide to go sexual. it can be a powerful tool if you're at a place where you can use it... but if you're not (and she thinks you're still just buddies) it'll scare her off REAL FAST. Move to a phone call or two if you think you can handle it. Phone is much more personal... and most regular guys don't call these days. Girls tend to think it sets you apart a bit.
