Post subject:  Youthful vs Rugged, Manly Appearance

Hey guys,

I am new to this forum but not to PUA in general. I am 25, skinny, and 5'7. I have a very youthful appearance to me, meaning that I cannot grow much facial hair, I have child-like features, and I often get mistaken for a 16 year old. I dress well, act mature, and workout, but this seems to only help negligibly.

One issue that I often seem to be running into is the fact that I lose women to the macho, manly guy and it is really starting to effect me. They can be tall, short or whatever but one thing they have in common is that they simply LOOK manly (ie: big muscles, tattoos, thick brow, etc). They can be the biggest wimp in the world and be such a pushover to these women, but the fact that they look macho makes the women choose them over me.

I know looks don't matter if your game is right, but I am still in the learning stages and I would like to know how I can overcome this obstacle. I always try to remain dominant, I am never a pushover, and I am always busting on the girl, push-pull, etc. Girls seem to love it but then I tend to notice the same thing. The fact that I LOOK child-like, girls see me as the "Aww, cute little kid". I also feel like women I am hooking up with try not to make it known they are hooking up with me because I look young, but when they meet this "macho guy" it seems as though everyone knows. Lastly, I always try to sexualize our conversations and it works initially, but I immediately get put back into the young boy category.

Any advice on what I can do in this kind of frequent occurrence? Is there something I am doing wrong? I do notice when I try to get with a woman a little older than me, the youthful look works well initially, but I always end up as the side piece to the macho LOOKING guy.

Thanks for your help.

I am in the same position, 170 cm in height and I look young.

Looking young, especially looking cute, is not a handicap at all! If played right it's a trump!

1. You have to realise it depends on the culture what is sexually attractive. In Asia looking young and cute is verry attractive. Being huge and looking barbarian don't help you at all there.
In the west a lot of girls like cute guys as well, there is just that cultural pressure they and you have to deal with.

2. If you game good, than you have to build attraction and comfort to properly escalate.
In the West building attraction will most properly be your weakpoint, but building comfort will be you strong point.

3. An afc in your position will get friendzoned a lot and will stuck there. You have to practice how to get out there. Make this your strong point.

4. Being Alpha doesn't mean to be physical powerful. I actually think it is harmful, too. It way more impressive to be an Alpha of a group if you are small and weak and the everyone else is big and strong.
Every gamer has to be alpha, train that!

Short story: I was hitting on a really tall girl (a head taller than me) and than her boyfriend appeared, who was two head taller than me. I acted impressed and ask what he did to get that tall. He said he drank a lot of milk. I said: "Really?! I drank a lot of milk, too! Imagine how small I would be if I didn't!" I was confident the whole conversation. He bought me drink at the end.

Make them let you dance with their girlfriends, because you are soooo "harmless". When you fuck their girlfriends at the end they didn't know what happend.

What's happening here is girls are shit-testing you about your appearance and, instead of being non-reactive, you acknowledge it and attempt to save face. This makes you look weak.

It's not your lack of beard it's your behaviour around masculine looking guys which is repelling women. You're falling into the beta role where your focus is on other guys being better than you instead of focusing on amusing yourself with the girls. Fuck what other dudes are doing. Do your own thing.

p.s. Do you even lift bro? Get a tan.

I'm willing to bet if girls were to ditch you because you're are too manly, that you will seeking advice on how to get youthful and skinny.

You can't be every girl's cup of tea. But don't neglect your appearance either. Perhaps just spend some time thinking about the type of girl's that you're attracted to and work on yourself to become that guy internally and externally.

Thanks for your advice guys.

I do notice that looking "young and cute" does help me to get under the radar. That is definitely an advantage. I do sometimes get friendzoned, but for women I really want, I try not to let it happen. Then when I hook up with them, they are surprised like "they wouldn't expect it from me" and I feel like they are even more into me.

I realize now that I make the mistake of being alpha when I am alone with the girl, but when the big masculine guy comes into play I shrivel up. Though sometimes I try not to let that happen either.

Sometimes when I try to act alpha, and I can see women are liking it, I sometimes feel like I am being arrogant or annoying, even if I am not. By nature I am a laid-back calm guy, but lately I have been more self-amusing and go-getting. I can definitely see a difference.

You guys are the best. It really suck when you are with a woman and even though you are hooking-up, she still checks her phone to see if Macho Man is texting her. Sucks feeling like a back-up guy. You guys have definitely helped me a lot.
