| Post subject: | Have you had Anxiety and HOCD? |
Recently, my General Anxiety Disorder has come back. I recognise that it is back because I get these OCD and HOCD moments which I find irritating. My stress, de-motivation and depressed levels have increased and I am also feeling some of the physical signs such as fatigue and awkward sleep, etc. I also get these thoughts that ends up being 'gay' related for example, even if I here the word 'gay' then I start to worry and stuff. And, if I don't go out to even attempt to pick-up girls, then I start thinking I'm gay and all that. It is so annoying! I am fine when I am busy doing something, or when I am out. But, they come back to haunt me sometimes. This is a pretty sensitive topic, so I am wondering about your thoughts |

Are you gay? Or maybe bi? If your thoughts are always consumed with it, there may be a possibility your brain is trying to tell you something. Not going out and picking up girls doesn't make you gay. Liking having relations with men makes you gay. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE MAKES YOU GAY. If you're gay, great. If you're bi, great. If you're confused, experiment. Other than that, get that thought out of your mind. Trust me, it's easy to find out which gender you prefer. |

I know for sure that it is GAD. I like girls, I picture my future with girls and I have always been attracted to girls.

you may not have alot of experience with gay men being around you, just like your anxiety with women it takes having them around to get rid of it. same with your men problem. if say you dont have that many male friends. you may need to try and make more, or atleast workout or competition buddies. it could be a thing with your psychology seeing the gay men as women because you dont have alot of male friends |

either that or your over thinking this, Ive seen alot of questions from you in the last few days, its key jockey disorder. your questions should only come up as they do. past questions shouldnt be answered. for instance dont ask questions about sally when you where 5 years old. ask questions about sarah you ran into down the street and for some reason she ran off |

Tell me a little bit about your lifestyle. Several things help GAD: exercise, meditation, improving nutrition (can also be done partially through supplements especially Magnesium, B12, Folic Acid and a high quality Salmon Oil supplement) Chamomile and Borage Flower teas are good, too. An easy fix is often making sure you are sleeping a regular schedule. Duration and quality aren't the only important factors, timing is as well. 8 hours from 2am to 10am is not the same thing as 8 hours from 11 to 7 or 12 to 8. Sleep, or lack thereof, has a bigger effect on anxiety than most people believe. If some combination of these things don't work for you, or you've already tried all of that and are still struggling, I'd recommend an adaptogen. Rhodiola Rosea works especially well for some people. Ashwagandha is good also. Just do your research first, pay a bit more for a higher-quality supplement if you need too, and learn to cycle. These things are not meant to be taken forever - usually only 2-3 weeks at a time, and sometimes on schedules like 3 days on/ 2 days off or 5 days on/2 days off. They can help you work through issues and improve for good after a few bouts with weeks or months off in-between, which is good as opposed to pharmaceuticals which tend to leave you dependent on them chemically for benefits. |

Yes, my eating and exercise patterns are quite awful. All my life, I have ate unhealthy foods. Only now and then do I eat more healthy stuff. This might be the main cause for my GAD and OCD/HOCD. It is rather disturbing when I get annoying questions and thoughts in my head. Would it be because I may be stressing myself about 'girls'? I am thinking that one of the many things could relate to the fact that I haven't had a girlfriend or a sexual experience with a girl for a LONG LONG time - henceforth why I am on this forum. |
