I have been intensely devoted to game for about 6 months now. Me and my wing usually go out 4 nights a week. We have gotten a lot of "success" as far as makeouts, SNL's, etc. We haven't had much investment though. We (like many other PUA's) encounter hundreds of flakes. I originally got into PUA so that I could get another girlfriend. Simple as that. It has evolved into much more than that. Game is my life.

I recently met a girl from out of town. We shared the type of mutual connection that I have been going out and looking for the past 6 months. If you want, you can read my field report starting on March 21st my-journey-to-becoming-the-icy-zen-mast ... 77-15.html. The girl was just in town for the weekend, and she ended up leaving. It got me thinking though. If this girl had lived in my town, would I have given up game for her? Would I give up game for any girl at this point?

So fellow PUA's...Would you give up the game if you fell for a girl? If not, what is your goal to be achieved through being a PUA?

There are a lot of nice bits about being able to go for any girl you want, at any time, there are a lot of nice bits about having a girl locked down.

I'm 28, almost 29, so I have no issues with potentially getting into more of a committed relationship if the girl is right.

Right now I'm seeing a surgeon who is probably 110 pounds, and that's being generous. She's indicated very strongly that she desires monogamy and I can be down with that - at my age, with wanting to do a lot of career stuff, dating multiple girls just takes so much damn time. It sucks a little that I got into this stuff only in the past 2-3 years (all that wasted time in college... so many girls! and free time!) but it isn't a big deal.

So yeah, if it works for you, do it. There's a big drive in the community to "never commit", and go after as many girls as possible, but that can definitely get hollow/boring too at times. It's mostly nice to know once you get good enough that you'll never be alone and you can always get another girl whenever you want - that's honestly the best benefit to me.

Don't kill a good thing just because you "should never commit" - I did that once, and I regret it.

Nope.

I wouldn't hit on women or cheat but I wouldn't stop using gaming techniques altogether.

I read your message and it happened to me recently myself. Didn't fuck this chick, knew her for a few weeks. At first she was just hot. Nothing special so I didn't spend any time on her or bothered too much then one night, with a friend, I met with her and started talking a bit. She was into me, pinching me, flirting, lighting up when she seen me and we genuinely ended up having an awesome time. We were very much on the same page and she was just awesome. Decided to score her but got separated from her shortly after that. Meet up with her a week later and it's like fireworks. Not the best kisser -- kinda weird -- but the chemistry was there. Fell for her only to find out she was moving country the very next day. Shit luck, right?

Still have a hard on for her. Didn't fuck her and maybe that's why I have oneitise for her but all I know is you meet women like this. Sometimes it just clicks and you get along well with them... After going through it I would honestly say you need to run away from these women and fuck ten other women as soon as possible unless you knew they were going to be around for the foreseeable future. Honestly, right now, after getting back into it and having a shit load of success since addressing some issues, I feel like shit.

If you want a family, then when you're ready for the next step IN YOUR LIFE, settle into a long term relationship, but until then you are feeding into oneitis if you do.

Monogamy is your sacrifice to make if you so desire. We have the power. We have the advantage. All we need to do is knock up one girl and we did it. The women are the ones who need to be more careful of who they fuck. Monogamy makes sense for them biologically.

Also, children are better off with two solid parents around. So if anything, monogamy is your sacrifice you make FOR YOUR KIDS.

Don't fall for the opportunity to raw dog a girl on the regular. That's being pussy whipped. Be above it. Get into a monogamous relationship if and only if it makes sense for your life plan.

If hookups are scarce for a man, the man should improve himself to make this a non-factor, rather than hold on to the few opportunities he has.

It sounds just like my own story. I broke up with my ex and was in the game for only 3 months when I met The Girl. We had such good chemistry, and at my age I have learned to value that. I've met enough girls to know that most of them don't interest me, that we don't click.

What's interesting though is that my pickup skills got even better during the first year after I met her! I'm faithful to her, but I'm still using game techniques when I go out, trying to charm people, making girls chase me etc. I have realized that a relationship makes wonders to your outcome independence, abundance mentality, and overall attitude towards pickup and can be used with great advantage. So my advice to guys who want to have a boost in their game is to choose a girl they like and keep her as a "friend with benefits".

I suppose this answers your question. Keep on gaming, but quit picking up! :)

If I met a quality girl (which I have), I wouldn't quit game because game is what I used to get her in the first place.

The way I understood the OP was going out and gaming other girls, not using "game" techniques on a girl you're dating - which should be standard practice.

I have a second question. How many of you would commit to a "good girl" but fuck sluts on the side? I have known many players that swear by this as the ultimate model for happiness. Any guy who has been in game knows that settling down gets boring. They always crave variety. That being said, they also want that stable emotional connection with a girl that won't cheat. I suppose it is the "madonna whore complex" in a way.

I personally can't say that I would be able to do it, but I have seen the appeal.

I wouldn't.

I would only ever cheat with a chick on her boyfriend/husband if I didn't know about it beforehand or knew her partner was cheating on her or just treating her badly and the relationship was doomed.

No, I wouldn't. Cheating on a girl is one of the few lines I do not cross. And if I did, I would do it with a hooker, not a slut. A hooker does not call you, does not demand your attention and does not pushes you to get a divorce. Having a mistress is too messy. There are too many uncontrolable variables. A hooker is a much more cleaner alternative.

It all depends on if you're willing to give it up man.

If your idea of a quality girl is a girl that won't let you talk to other girls... Is she really a "quality girl?" Maybe one of the things you should look for in a girlfriend is a girl that will be okay with you having sex with other people.

Set your own standards bro. Don't follow your moms definition of "quality" :)

Have the best of both worlds. I am like Freddie Mercury. I want it all.

I have a quality girlfriend and because I get so many opportunities to cheat (I'm a musician and tour a lot) that I just cheat and don't tell her about it. So yes, I have "given up" game for my girl in that I don't cold approach girls very much anymore. But I do get opened after shows fairly often and it would be rude not to oblige :wink:
