McDrive pickup. Is it possible?

Post subject:  McDrive pickup. Is it possible?
Just remembered an old McDonnalds commercial. A guy pulls in to the McDrive and asks for "A big mac, a cheeseburger, a large cola and your phone number". In the end the cute girl in the window gives him a phone number on the back of the reciept.

Has anyone ever done something like this? Can it be done?

I can't see this working no matter what tone you use or how you frame it. That's just flat out corny, and I've heard about it so often on the internet that I'm sure she'll have heard it a million times before and it looks like you just copied it straight from reddit or something.

It is possible. I've done it before, but I also had some inside knowlege about the girl we had talked while she was getting me a coffee. Then the next time I went through the drive through gave my card to the guy at the drive through and told him to give it to so and so he did she called we went out, but I also made an impression 1st by being really nice at the drive through speaker saying please thank you complimenting her on her coffee making abilities (jokingly) she'd always draw hearts on my cup so after a little while of that I made my move.

Don't get mad but I don't think that would be considered as a "one-shot" pick-up situation (or at least not what I had in mind). You've been flirting with her for a while before giving her your number versus you being upfront with your approach to the girl you haven't met yet and trying to take it up from there (although I'm glad things went well for you in the end).

Actually if you change it up per your situation (the order) and say it when you are actually ordering something it can work.

She'll smile, smile back and drop the subject. After your order and once you are finish with your meal or whatever, come back and tell her you were serious. You'll have to push a little, but you should be able to her number.

Best used when you are traveling, if you do it somewhere you visit often/live, you can make things awkward.
