Ive been texting this girl and seeing her round campus a bit over the last few weeks and we were texting the other night and I dropped in to conversation that we should go grab drinks next week. She said yeah ok I ""think"" im free Wednesday. I replied saying cool it will have to be evening as ive got a lot on during the day, what time you free wednesday evening then? 12 hours later she replied Im not sure yet got to help a friend out. How should I reply because Im pretty sure I can see her flaking as she doesnt sound very committed! I want to let her know that I wont tolerate her flaking, messing me around and wasting my time, but I also want to do it without sounding like a D***. |

Unfortunately I think it's too late to do that. When it comes to framing situations like that one you have to be proactive and do it when you number close. Otherwise you'll encounter the reverse effect. It sounds like you'll have to raise the value on the drinks. In the past I've reversed roles, if they seem like they are going to flake, flake on them instead. This way you can set up another date with a solid time and set the frame then. |
