this is kind of a newb question... so about a month ago, i cold approached this girl at my school, talked to her for 30 mins, and number closed before heading to my class. this is not something i do often, or ever really, so i felt pretty good about it. the conversation flowed really well, she was giving me tons of iois and positive body language. so i waited one day before sending a text. it read something like: "what's up couey? what are you up to?" (couey is a little inside joke we had going) got no reply. now i was going to follow up with a second text after a day or two just for the hell of it, knowing that it was probably a lost cause. i was telling my roommate about it and asking him what i should do, and he told me NOT to send the second text. his reasoning was that my first text was good enough, and basically i should just keep my self respect. now i'm sitting here thinking, if i had just sent a second text and still got no reply, i'd be in the same spot i'm in now. so what do you think? was my roommate right? a lot of the things i've been reading seem to point to people 2nd and even 3rd texting with no reply. should i just stop at the first text if there's no reply and keep my "self respect"? i'm starting to doubt this and doubt my afc roommate. my "self respect" isn't texting me back, and it's certainly not getting me laid. |

You can either: A.) Never text again and maybe never bang her. B.) Call/text again and maybe bang her. Fuck your self-respect, do what you want. |

Send a second text when enough time has passed, but make it completely unattached to the first one you sent, as if you never sent the first text in the first place. And make it more intriguing, like "Something just reminded me of you!" or some strange text that was obviously meant for someone else. Or, you could stop being a pussy and actually fucking CALL her. That's actually MUCH better

Think about it - if you don't send a text, changes are that you won't see her again If you do, she could either text you or not, but the chances will be higher. You're really not losing out on anything if you txt her again (without making it seem needy). |

Never ,ever send boring typical texts like this especially if it's the first text. That first text after you got her number must be the most impactful one.It's common sense really , if you think about it. Do you wanna stand out from the crowds of AFCs or do you want to say the absolute exact same things as they all do ? You chose the latter. Ofcourse she didn't reply. She gets texts like that from 10 different guys every hour of every day. |
