| Post subject: | the girlfriend question |
Hi guys, What do you say to a relative or family friend when he or she asks you the same old annoying question: "so do you have a girlfriend already?" I actually HAD a girlfriend (if you could call it that.... more like a fling actually) but I never introduced her to anyone .... so the general public knows me as "that guy who still hasn't had a girlfriend". I could say "sure I've had a girlfriend." ..... but it would sound like I was qualifying myself to them, plus they could counter with "Really? Why haven't we heard of her? Why haven't you introduced her to us?" And they could even imply that I did not introduce her to them because she must have been ugly. The point is I don't want to "submit to them" by qualifying myself. Normally I stay away from them as much as possible but there are just times when I can't avoid them. Thank you in advance. |

My parents are pretty curious about my personal life most of the time and I get the question frequently as well. All I say to them is, "I'm dating a couple of different girls." I've even told them about a few of them and they were lost by girl 3, lol. Basically, I just say, "Look I'm dating a couple of different girls. I haven't really gotten that serious with any of them. I'm taking my time and just finding a nice quality girl before I make my decision." They backed off after that. When you get into a "long term relationship" or LTR then maybe introduce her. |

Thanks bro.I've been losing sleep over this, believe it or not.... I don't mind the "not having a girlfriend" part as much as the discrimination I face when interacting with "normal" people. |

Dude... it's your family you're talking about. Don't interpret every single situation you encounter in pickup terms! Trust me, it's not healthy. How about telling them the truth? That you either don't have a girlfriend/you're dating a few but none of them has swept you off your feet?ways-the-seduction-community-can-make-y ... bots#51282 |
