Ok this is pretty stupid, but I wonder if anyone can read something into this...

There's this girl (stranger), who sometimes waits near the bus-stop, when I catch a bus in the morning.

First IOI, I was having a smoke and although there was plenty of space to stand else-where she came and lit one up about two foot away from me. I was standing on the step in front of a shop which makes it all the more suspect.

Being a practising PUA I thought, hmm, I wonder what happens if I move away and stand near the bus shelter. Will she follow?

And sure enough, after she finished her smoke, she did. Stood right in the bus shelter next to me. She was probably wondering why I moved away from her so early.

Anyway, a couple of other days I'm stood at the bus shelter and she's stood there with me.

But... what does the following mean, if anything?

Today she's stood with her back to me and she's got a brush out and she is brushing her hair!

I've heard about girls running their fingers through their hair if they are interested in someone(self grooming). But that was ridiculous.

I was also thinking, she must be comfortable with me stood there watching her do that. Girls who are comfortable with guys generally don't find them attractive. Girls get nervous around guys they find attractive.

What do you guys think? Or am I over analyzing all this and it means Jack Shit?

I would say, first off, you're overanalyzing it. If you think too hard about it, anything she does could be an IOI.

BUT I can't say whether it was an IOI or not- I suggest you treat it like it was, and open with her. If your first gut feeling was that she was interested, go with it! You are probably right.

Yeah I decided to open her, here's what happened. This is a couple of days later, because I kept missing her.

I’m at the bus stop again. She’s there. I have the setup all worked out in my head. (Please God don’t let me fuck this up. I'm nervous as hell.) I pull out a smoke. I pat my pockets down pretending to look for my cigarette lighter, and then I make eye contact…

Me: You got a light? (I know she's a smoker)
HB: Sure.

(I’m deliberately letting the flame die out before it lights my cigarette up)

Me: No I meant one that actually works *Smiles*

Me: Hey it finally worked. You didn't give me a broken lighter after all. *Big grin*

(I look her up and down rather blatantly, like an ALPHA would.)

Me: I like your rucksack. It doesn’t really go with the smart office look you got going there. (She's wearing a smart black overcoat, like someone powerful would wear) But I think it’s great. You're being different from all those other girls who have Gucci handbags. Those kinda girls are so superficial.

HB: Laughs

Me: OMG your nose wriggles when you laugh. (She checks back) No it’s the cutest thing. You gotta stop doing that cos I think you're trying to make me fall for you… There you go again. Stop it now. I gently punch her in the arm (Kino)

Then we fluff about our jobs n shit, I make sure I DHV - God the number of times I have fucked up on this is unbelievable. (Stay confident.) Time for the number close.

Me:Hmm, I was wondering how might we carry on this conversation. (I pause and look at her expectantly with my eyebrows raised)

She gets the idea, smart girl.

Me:Cool, put your number in my phone, I’ll text you or something.

A couple of seconds later I text her, (this is an idea I have stolen from another person on this forum):

Text: Who's that cute guy you're standing next to? :) (It's me of course.)

She smiles, her bus arrives. She gets on.

I finish my smoke, I'm calm on the outside but underneath shaking with nervous energy.

Perhaps your focusing to much on the outcome? Although it didn't seem to affect your game. Grooming her hair in front of you would be an IOI. She is making herself prettier for you. When you looked up and down was she wearing a shapeless coat? To me this suggest checking out her body, which is something I need to learn NOT to do.

Hmm, she did have her back to me when she was doing it, so she might have been nervous with me being there.

I wasn't really paying attention, I made sure I did it with a big playful smile on my face... She probably liked the attention.

If she was close to you (withing 18"), it would be an IOI as well. I think the back turned in this case doesn't matter.. She may have snuck some glances too over her shoulder.

Well, it's good that you noticed her body language, but you over thought
it past the point where you should have already started a conversation...
if that makes any sense. :)

All you needed to realize is that she established proximity to you,
whether it was subconscious or not.

No matter. You did well. You opened her and got her number.
Mission accomplished.

Let us know how it pans out.

If not an IOI, I think it sounds like a good chance for an opener about her "stalking" you or something else about how she seems so interested in you etc.
