I'm not sure if this would be better posted in another section, but I wanted to write some about my initial experiences getting back in field today... If nothing else, maybe some newbies could learn from my stumbles here.

I mentioned in a post yesterday that I'd been out of the game (consistently) for about two years. Part of what led to this break was that I was in an on again, off again relationship that was exclusive. At that time, I thought it would be best to quit approaching (in order to be more consistent with the relationship frame. Additionally, the girl I was seeing was quite jealous.). As I'm learning now, that was not a wise plan, because I feel like I'm starting back at square one. The AA is intense, and I'm literally starting off with the "Hi" approach, and then moving on (I used to be able to chat up any set, and was pretty much immune to AA.)

That said, I found that after approaching 4 or 5 sets this way today, I felt the old confidence starting to return. I also noticed I was getting back into the pua mindset, and my posture improved as I transitioned into the alpha role (shoulders back, chest out, looking up, strong eye contact, relaxed movements, poise).

Really, that's all that I did today.. Just baby steps, but I feel that progress was made.

Congrats.

Careful with baby steps tho. It's easy to fall into stagnation.

R.C. is right with baby steps its easy to "think" you're making progress when actually your not.

I've never been a huge baby step fan, im more of a jump in the deep end guy. Wanna bang HB10's ? Open HB10's right now.

As the two PUAs asserted, taking baby steps is not always the right move. For better calibration, you might want to try to dive deep and hard core for around 2 dozen approaches and attempt a SNL or single day lay.

But of course, this depends a lot on how much, and at what intensity of, rejection you can take. Most newbies around here cannot take that much rejection which kills off their motivation to continue in their PUA journey. Hence, several of us here advice taking baby steps. However, if you think you are an exception, try doing hard core.

And then scale down to something you're more comfortable with at a steady pace and then take baby steps to master the entire process. Test the fringes of your boundaries and calibrate from there.

The advantage of this approach is that you can breeze through several steps and fit right in a higher level of game.
