Post subject:  the longest journey begins with one step

and i think i've taken that step. i've gone out a few times, i work in a high traffic environment with opportunities to meander about and interact with random people. i've started doing just that. first/hardest step checked off! now comes that moment when i need to finally start developing my own style. and first thing i see is my appearance. well, i'm fasion dead. no joke. i haven't the slightest clue about what looks good, either on guys or girls. i've been the t-shirt and jeans kind of guy my whole life, with a brief interlude into sweats in middle school, and black towards the end of highschool into college. now i work in a bank, at least for now, and wear a noose and cuffs every day. all of which were picked out by having previously worked for eddie bauer and got a 50% discount on. sooooo, i have no clue. :) i have an idea of where to start, and a good one i think to practice approaching, with an easy opener. what do you think?

"So let me get your opinion, i have this party i'm going to for new years and my best clothes are lost in holland. what would you pick out for me to wear?"

same can be used for cologne and jewlwery. i've never really worn any, and i've read the "which do you prefer" opener in several threads. but as for a hairstyle, there's an infinate number of possibilities here, and once again i'm fasion dead. i know sometimes outrageous hairstyles can get a lot of attention, but working in a profesional environment this just doesn't work. anyone out there ever figure out a good way to get a wide variety of opinions without placeing all your hopes in the hands of a single stylist?
i know that it's important to define my own style, and with time i'm sure i will, but i truly have no background on which to base anything, and not enough money just now to be overhauling a wardrobe 2-3 times a month stumbling through differant styles to see what finally works. any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Find a girl to go clothes shopping with you. It's a great date, and you get advice about what she thinks looks good on you. While you're at the mall, you can also find some cologne and other stuff. As for hair, I recommend finding a stylist you trust and doesn't charge an arm and a leg and experiment.

I just wanna say usually a good stylist does cost alot. I pay 70 dollars for my hair style. But I do experiment alot with my hair, new colors, different shades and styles. As for clothing, I would suggest going out and having a girl help you pick out some clothes, or a gay friend if you have one. That's what I like to do, that way you have a second opinion. For jewlery for starters if you could afford it a nice oversized watch. Maybe a ring, and a nice necklace and bracelet. I usually just have my oversized designer watch, my highschool grad ring. Just because it's big and draws attention and a simple necklace with the Chinese symbol of the ox on it.... which is now broke :(. For cologne I have a good selection. I like Dandolf Cool Water, D&G, I really like that new Armani Code too.

If you wanna check out my style or what I am talking about check out my myspace pics,

The pics nearer to the bottle are the newest... plus there is a pic of me and Monkey and Mocha

And if you also have Myspace add me to your sexiness
