So I try to open a three-set yesterday at school, trying to target a blonde HB9, using style's five oceans opener, and good god i've never been shot down so fast. It was the definition of crash and burn. Anyone have any ideas on how to get past such an insane bitch shield? |

Look at her, do a half-giggle with a smirk, and flip her off. If you think that's too much, do the smirk and giggle, look her in the eyes and say "And who the hell are you?" |

I would seriously not try what j00pwned suggested, I think you have to be very experienced to get away with something like that. We dont know why you crashed and burned, I have no idea what to do either because im new to this but hey it will add to your experience. |

You probably conveyed too much interest. HB9's are very susceptible to it. Every part of the game must be applied, tonality, body language, how you open. But yea, that was your problem. If she shot you down hardcore, it was because she knew you were trying to pick her up. Think about it, she wouldn't have 'shot you down' if the situation wasn't there to begin with, IE: you conveyed too much interest.  Hope this helps, happy gaming
