Ok guys, very briefly: I met this girl about a month ago, she gave me her number etc, then some playful chat without particular attraction, invited her to meet but she's always said "yes, but...", ended up writing her "I'm not going to run back to you, sorry."

Most of my friends told me that was a terrible mistake. Then, after 10 days, I received a message from her telling she was too busy, asking my number again as she lost it (msg was through fb) asking me how I'm doing and concluding with "let's meet up next week!".
This is the first message she wrote me without answering mines, and needless to say the first time she proposed to meet.
i was confused to say the least, but extremely happy.

Waited two days, then wrote her a quiet and polite message explaining I'll be busy until Wednesday and asking to let me know when she's free.
(The tone was relaxed to balance for the fact that I probably acted too needy during the previous weeks)

She became silent again, been so for two days (hopefully just because I told her I was going to be extremely busy til tomorrow).

Other facts: she's very young, extremely beautiful and not particularly communicating.

How do you interpret this and what do you suggest?

I suggest next time you don't ask her but tell her that "Hey I'm free on Thursday I'll pick you up at 6'o clock, dress sexy". That's it, you don't ask you state your plans. If she's interested she will make it happen, if not then you can forget her.

Thanks. This didn't work for the past weeks, as she's extremely busy and probably because I wasn't that high in her priority list.

I was already moving over, when she wrote me again... And she's by far my n.1 choice.

This chick is into head games. When she froze you out for 10 days she was scared she lost her hold on you so she sent you a message she knew you'd respond to, once you did(it was a needy reply) she knew that your still in the same place and would drop anything on a dime to hang with her. I'd freeze her out the next time she texted me for awhile. After freezing her out I'd be direct try to get her to go on something 1 on 1, if she declines I'd delete her number and move on. You need to build up a higher value by showing her that she's not the center of your world and that your busy and your life doesn't revolve around her and her schedule. It needs to be her chasing you.

Thanks a lot for your advice. Actually before the 10 days, she was the last one to write, altough that was just a (nice) reply to a message of mine (shortly after me telling her I wasn't going to insist).

Anyway, I'll just remain silent and see what happens, unless someone has a better suggestion.

noone?
I've read somewhere on this forum freezing out only works after a fuck, is it true? doesn't sound so smart to me, but I'd like to hear opinions before I fuck this up :D

Not exactly. As far as I get it, freezing out works better the more value SHE has invested in YOU. So if you guys did the dance with no pants, and you freeze her out (no idea why would you), it triggers a fear of a very great loss on her part.

That's not the point here, freeze out actually has an effect on you too, it gives you time to think and relax (and sarge). The idea is to
a) convey you are a busy guy and that you are not invested in her
b) give yourself time to think it through and respond calmly

Keep in mind a calmly worded response sent 2 minutes after her message came in is still needy, I'm not saying that's what you did, but there's a point here.

Ok thanks, I'll stay silent. Point is, I've already done this once and it got her writing me again, but I'm seriously doubtful this will work twice, especially since I proved myself interested after the first one. Anyway, there is probably no alternative...
