I am pretty new to this so please bare with me,

I met this girl while playing soccer a few weeks ago. We are on the same team so I see her weekly. I got her number and we have been texting a little bit and I am interested in her. I just don't know how to let her know this without coming on too strong. I used to just be able to walk up to girls and start talking to them without even a second thought, but I am more self concious about being rejecting since i would most likely have to see her again. I have been trying to look for IOIs but I am not sure if I am reading her right (or anyone for that matter). I guess I need to make her more aware of me and sort of qualify myself. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it and if I am doing anything wrong please let me know. Thank you
