A few months ago I was seeing this girl but then I went back to uni after Christmas and she started seeing someone else (she thought I was just using her and I know she did like me after the first few times we met up.) After going AFC in my emotional state I then got my game head back on and didn't text her and actually didn't really miss her until earlier this week she text me again and has done so a few times and I've responded but just been a bit flirty and haven't asked for a meet.

However last night she text me again and then said that this other guy she was seeing is now blanking her (he comes across as a complete AFC) and straight away this triggered the thought that she's now using me to get back at him and I'm her back-up plan. She then put some tweets saying about her feelings which basically proved me right.

So I don't know how to play it. I do like this girl (first one I've really liked, normally just interested in the F-close and move on) so am tempted to text her something along the lines of "Just to let you know I'm no-one's back-up plan." or is this too AFC? Would I be better to just ignore her or to carry on texting her without bringing the other guy up at all?

To be fair that is a very fair point haha! Though wouldn't surprise me if she's just texting me to gain attention. Would it be best to ignore her for a bit and see if she comes back again?

If you're genuinely interested in her I'd avoid commenting on the guy. Just keep gaming her and make her realise that you're the better option. A while back before I got into this I was in a similar situation and she kept moaning about this guy. Creating a conversation with her just led to being friendzoned and a whole load of wasted time while we had exactly the same conversation over and over. If you ask me she's fishing for attention and compliments. Don't jump through hoops for her.

She's letting you know that she may be interested in fucking you as a rebound, and you're thinking about saying 'No, I have too much pride to be a rebound'? That's AFC to the max. If I understand you correctly, you do not just 'like' this girl, you fear you might fall in love with her and that she will subsequently reject you. But why fear that? If you don't get emotionally involved, great. If you do, and she does as well, also great. If you do, and she doesn't, then the problem has a simple, but tried and tested solution: GFTOW. So if you ask me, you're seeing to many bears on the road my friend. Just go out and drive right over those suckers.

I think that's pretty spot on Timo, I guess it is my ego that's getting in the way. Among my mates I'm known to be the guy who never gets feelings and is only interested in getting the F-close, so having feelings is a new thing for me. I'd describe myself as more of a natural, though I came to this forum as clearly my game could improve and will become a dedicated student! In the mean time, I guess I'll go with the attitude that if I'm a rebound and we have sex, then I ultimately get what I want.. Mr Q

If she is using you for artillery for that other guy. with out bringing him up get her phone while having sex so she is assured she owns the footage and record some sexual shit. Pictures and video. Trust me she'll look at it when you aren't around and for the pain you will feel, you may get cheap satisfaction if she shows it to the other guy cause he is not only fucking with your position with this woman, he became a douche to her
