I'm so confused by all this pickup stuff sometimes, I was at this party, my target obviously saw I was engaged in a conversation with my friend, and she tries to get my attention and literally starts pulling my arm. My friend just keeps talking I'm like wtf, I got so confused I only got out "Relax guys" I feel like she only did this to see my reaction (shit test) How do you guys normally handle this? Do I answer target first? Continue conversation? Should I neg the target right afterwards? |

You tell her she's being rude and to give you a second. If she's being polite and just trying to get your attention, then give her a second of your time to see what she wants and then determine whether you should be paying her attention or not. Know your priorities though, if you are working on a girl and interested in her, then unless the person you're talking to is saying something important, don't ignore her on purpose just to put her in her place or anything like that. |

Right, I was interested in this girl, and I definately felt like turning to her. But I really did feel like it was a shit test to see if I would turn away from my friend just to talk to her. I felt like I did come off as 'putting her in her place' as you said, but I'm not sure. It's like whenever I started negging for the first couple of times, I felt like I was being rude, but it turns out thats just what they respond to. Thanks though. |
