Post subject:  What do you like doing for fun?
Hey guys,

I’ve run into a problem when people ask me “what do you like doing for fun?” or “what are you into?” I’ve never really had a specific hobby or anything like that. My work is pretty consuming and when I’m not a work my time is pretty much spent around the house. I’ve just moved to the other side of the country so I haven’t really met that many people yet so I can’t even say “hanging with friends.”

I think my problem is that I need to build more of an identity for myself. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For me I started off by going to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hobbies I looked through the list trying to find hobbies that sounded mildly interesting and came across lacrosse. Since you're busy with work you could try cooking since you've gotta eat anyway and its cheaper than eating out. You can even tie some kind of dhv story of sometime you were cooking when x and y happened.

Well, I shoot a lot of pool and I can tell you there are lots of people who play even though they're shit, just because it's so much fun. So yeah, read up about the rules and stuff so that on the offchance you get invited out for a game you know your stuff. Like I said, you don't even have to be good... it does help though. :D
