So there is this SHB I have been working on for a while but I can't seem to get her to go out and do something on the weekends; I'm in highschool.

I recently tried to get her to come and do something with me and some friends this weekend by just asking her, but I didn't want to sound like an AFC. I wanted it to be affirmative. First I used a neg and said: "what are you up to this weekend? Staying home by yourself again?"

Do you think that was good or not?

Yeah, it would work well as long as you say it in a dismissive way like you have already counted her out of your plans. Then when she says no, you can be like, "Oh...well that's too bad...we already made plans." and then she'll wanna be included and you have to play it off like there isn't room, or she might not fit in, or some other disqualifier and slowly reel her in.

IMO theres really nothing wrong with acting like an AFC in High School. Also you can go with the "Hey ima [whatever youre going to do], you should come."
That way youre not really asking her, youre pretty much just telling her to come.
