Hi all - this is my first message on this site! So the other day, while in the Gap, I had a great conversation with a really sweet girl working behind the counter. We talked about where she was from and since I have family there, I was able to talk to her about back home. Like I said, she was very sweet and when I asked for her number, she gave it to me with a smile. Well, I called her a couple days later and left a brief message, but never heard back. Three days after that, I texted one of those "just wanna make sure you got my msg" messages and she texted right back that she did, but she's been really busy and will call when she gets a chance. Well that was two days ago - bringing the total time since I met her to five days now. What's my next move? Do I even have one? Am I to throw the towel in already? I'd really like to see her, but I'm not one to chase a girl that's not interested. Ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks! - JD |

Repeated calling with no reciprocation makes you appear desperate. Even if she never calls you back (keep in mind it often takes a week for someone to get back to you after you get their number) just think of it this way: What makes her so special? There's no reason why you can't run the same game on any other girl of comparable or greater value and get the same result. You may have gotten lucky due to your knowledge of her hometown but if you have good enough poise conversationally then it won't matter either way whether you know anything about her or not. Don't call her or message her again; it's very possible that she is genuinely busy and cannot get back to you, but honestly would you want to commit to someone who doesn't have enough time on their hands to hang out anyway? If she does call you then that's great. If she doesn't, who cares? It's her loss. |
