Post subject:  AMOG blew me out
I was talking with a two set and I was doing alright. I had them laughing, but I was working hard to keep it going anyways. Then this guy from my dorm came and blew me out.

He comes in and starts dissing me and just making jokes at me and was the totally took control as Alpha Male of The Group. The fucking asshole just kept making cuts at me and I just didnt have any decent come backs to get em out. It was fucking embarassing and the girls were just hysterically laughing at me. I took it for a while and then left. I got burned hardcore.

Please give me some good advice so the next time someone pulls that on me I can blow him out quickly and hopefully gain some social points and DHV in the process.

Thanks guys. I ll try to use this as motivation to get better.

Well I have been there myself. I like to take care of myself and wear nice things. Suits, old man sweaters, etc.... So this guy I kinda know was making fun of me and saying I was gay to this girl I was talking to. So I just started turning it around on him. When he was saying that I was gay I just made it into a joke. I said dude, I told you this before, I am not gay so quit hitting on me. Then he started knocking my clothes. Saying how gay it looked. So I said you knw what, your right! I should start dressing like you because your so cool. So I just picked things in his attire that looked stupid out. For instance his hat had the sweat marks on it. So I asked people around if they had a nasty ass hat I could borrow. So I mean I can't remember exactly how it went down. I just remember going home with her and her asking me "can you believe how much shit that guy was talking"? If you can make it funny, the things you say seem harmless to everyone else. Don't get offended by what people might say. Play it off cool or turn it around on them. The more distraught you look, the more weak you look.

I like to say to someone that tells a joke is, "Was that suppose to be funny?" in a serious tone. If someone tells me a story I say, "Wow, that was a great story." again in a serious but don't care tone.

but if like in your case the girls were laughing against you, just smile and walk away. i think he came in to early when you didn't build enough attraction and hadn't won the girls over yet. better luck next time.

It doesn't work out so well for George Costanza, but look at it this way - rather than sitting here being angry about it, use it as a learning experience, so next time you're in this situation, you can blow the a-hole out.

Do not, and I repeat, do not make fun of him in return. You're better than that.

Use your understanding of why he's doing it. He sees you talking to these 2 hot girls, who he also likes, and the only way he can butt in and get their attention is to make fun of you. It's pretty sad really, you should feel sorry for the guy. Now, taking that into account, if you call him out on why he's doing what he's doing, he will get mega defensive. That, or he'll simply continue making fun of you, either way will further prove your point. Smile, shake your head and say "whatever" and tell the girls you'll catch up with them later cos he wants their attention really badly. If you wanna stay in set and get rid of him, tell him if he wants rid of you he'll have to do more than make fun of you cos it doesn't impress anyone. Ask the girls if they're impressed by his macho display and get them to side with you.

You - "Hahahaha, good one mate, you know I don't think these lovely girls are going to be impressed by you making fun of me. You're gonna have to try harder than that.

But don't worry! I'm sure they'll feel sorry for you enough to give you a kiss(or hug) right girls (wink at them)?"

At this point you have done two AMAZINGLY CLEVER THINGS.

1. When you first spoke on their behalf, they may be inclined not to accept you speaking for them (depending on how well you've gamed so far). However, the second time you spoke for them legitimizes the first.

2. You said they would give him a hug/kiss. Say hug if possible, if you think that they would actually do that, then say kiss. OBVIOUSLY, they will say "No i won't hug/kiss him" or whatever (because they've only just met him), so therefore you win, he loses, and the whole group can presuppose that the girls don't like him.

GAME OVER for him, GAME ON for you!

'I'm sorry how old are you again? I pretty much thought grown as people like myself and these 2 ladies here have grown out of this'

Assuming you have, i'm 18 but i'm pretty sure i've grown out of direct and personal insults.

But like most cockblockers, they tend to be brainless and tactless.

In other words, turn it all round on him, call him out on his MATURITY, lean back and watch him make a fool of himself. :wink:

I was watching a video of Matador I think where he talks about taking care of on AMOG. One of the tactics he said was to just keep saying "cool man" to whatever the AMOG says.

AMOG: Hey man, you're so gay
PUA: Cool man
*keep gaming girls*

AMOG: whatever he says
PUA: Cool man
*keep gaming girls*

The idea is to show that you're unreactive to his advances. This thereby increases your value higher then his.

I like the "fetch" idea. That is good stuff.

Instead, ask for something like his cell phone. Say "Hey man you're pretty cool. You must have a cool phone." Whip yours out and compare. Then take it from him and slide it across the floor then say "fetch." Then look at him and shake your head.

If he doesn't have a phone then say "Wow who in the 21st century doesn't have a cell phone?" It lowers his value if he doesn't.

Be creative. Just come up with something that makes him look like he's trying too hard and talk to him like he's your 5 year old brother. His words mean nothing to you.

a lot of the guys who replied here handle AMOGs being being dicks themselves and although they might be lowering the AMOGs value, they are definately lowering theirs as well...

this makes you seem as if you're trying to prove your maturity to them. this might work for an 18yr old but i still wouldn't advise it. a mature person would handle it without actively trying to make the other guy look bad and without even mentioning maturity.

now, i'm not debating the effectiveness of the above in getting rid of the AMOG, but they are guaranteed to lower your value as well.

Fetch! hahahaha i think i was laughing for an hour when i read that. But i agree that it probably wont be effective. It could however get you punched in the mouth. Id say the biggest thing is not to make fun of him in return and to not give a shit. If your game with the girls is solid it should hold up to this guys bullshit.

ok. if you know him quite well you tell him that if he does that again you'll kick the shit into him. that should stop him. if not then in my experience sarcasm is your main enemy! if you get even slightly riled then you lower your value since it looks then like your hitting on them! however if you make noncommittal responses like whatever or cool then he'll start getting pissed. the more angry he gets the lower his value gets. he'll start floundering and then will piss off! you'll have to have some nerve to do that! if you're into nlp and hypnosis this is a great 1 although he'd have to be sort of drunk. basically he likes says something or asks you a question lets say "you gay or something" then you answer the question with a compleatly different answer like the walls in this town are only four feet tall. i mean in spain they were this tall. this basically makes him suggestible and confused. it usually cracks up ppl when you do that in front of them
