Post subject:  Is she interested?

This girl has been showing me a lot of IOI's. She hinted around that she wanted to hang out. So I asked her out. The convo went something like this.

I asked her was she was doing Sat. But then she said she worked.
Then, I was like "what about Thurs?"
She replies "I'm going out to a concert (that we've both been at before). :(. Are you going?"
I said, "I don't know if I am. I'm going for the strikeout... Monday"
Then she says, "You're gonna laugh, but I'm not making excuses. I work Monday too. :(... Maybe when can do it in 2 weeks once schools over? I'll have a lot of time after then. It's just really bad timing I'm busy with school and all."
I said, "I can't promise anything. we'll see about it when the time comes around"
She replies, "We better."

She was showing enough IOI's to have me ask her 3 different times, or so I thought. Is she interested or is she just trying to get out of it? How should I handle this situation?

She's sounds interested. Personally I wouldn't have asked her 3 different dates, I like to appear busier than that, DHV and all. She could legitimately be that busy. Wait a while to call her and then invite her out when you're already doing something to see what happens.

The last response of "You better" is a clear IOI in my mind. She seems legitimately busy, so I would wait until school is out and then set a date. Obviously if she makes excuses after this, she is not interested. As for asking her out, I think that asking her three times isn't that bad of a thing. Yeah, you might want to appear busier, but she responded well and conveyed equal interest. You just don't want to convey more interest than she does. Hope that helps!

IMHO if a girl is intrested in a guy she will make time in a busy schedule to see him. i think that she said "you better" becuz u hit her an unexpected "qualifyer" so she felt threatened by it

Well since then I told her I went and saw the movie we were supposed to see and she was like "Why did you do that?" And another time she said "I can't believe you saw that movie without me, we can no longer be friends." I kinda took that as a shit test and said "Yeah, we're done talking." I'm trying not to fall into the LJBF zone with her, but at the same time I think I need to build more comfort with her first since she is a 'good girl.'

Should I attempt to ask her out somewhere again, or wait until after classes are over in a week like she suggested?

BULLSHIT ALERT
She feels the need to prove she's not giving excuses. so she isn't confident in your trust for her.
I put up with this shit for weeks before when I had one-itis, eventually I went out and bought a car (i lived 60 miles away) and surprised her "hey wat r u doin"..."nothing bored at home"..."cool I just bought a car ill come pickj you up" and kinda F-Closed. I caught her off-guard, she had been playing me as a bit on the side.

I'm not making excuses it's just really bad timing I'm busy with school and all

 WHAT?!

So she didn't offer you a time when she isn't busy???

INTERESTED
ME: Hey wat you doing saturday
GIRL: working I can see you on wednesday though.
(EXCUSE & OFFERING SOLUTION)

NOT INTERESTED
ME: Hey wat you doing saturday
GIRL: working sorry.
(EXCUSE ONLY)

Looks like she's putting no effort into it. sounds like she's playing you. I hate to say this but I've seen this all before and done this all before
Don't wait around for this chic.

do... it.... ??? Sounds like some kind of chore. :? Which in my opiion it is a chore as you got to entertain each other and go out of your way to hang out.

This is how I view it. I never plan more then 24 hours ahead. Don't meet just for the sake of meeting.

Well she asked me about 30 times if I smoked weed. I kept giving her a C&F response until I finally admitted that I didn't. And she has shown a lot of IOI's and said, 'Am I going to see you sometime before next week?' before I asked her. So I took that as a big IOI. I don't know where to go from here though.

The more I think about the convo. The more it seemed like she wanted me out with her friends to this party on campus and not go see a movie because that was too big of a commitment. Maybe I need to work some more on comfort before I isolate.

Very possible. Just don't forget to build attraction WHILE you build more comfort . . . otherwise it's straight to LJBF land.
