What book is the first one I should read?

Im pretty new to the game I want to get a book that can give me the foundation so i can get started. I have read the Game already.

You'll get a lot of different replies to this, depending on people's style. I personally insist on reading Secrets of Female Sexuality by David Shade. But, if you want opinions, use the search tool and search for "books".

Whoa, wait. For the FOUNDATION I recommend the Venusian Arts Handbook.

Secrets of Female Sexuality is great, but if you want the foundation for PU, read Venusian Arts first. This book breaks the whole beginning of the PU down for you.

These are MUST HAVE books by any aspiring PUA (or current)

1) Magic Bullets or Mystery's Venusian Arts Handbook

2) The Definitive Book of Body Language (by Allan and Barbara Pease)




I can't stress how fucking important that second book is. You can have all the talk game you want, but if you don't have the body language, then it's all for nothing. Body language consists of 58% of communication done in conversations, with 35% going to tone, and 7% in the actual words. Doesn't take a genius to figure out the deal here.

Bah! I've yet to read VAH! I want to and I'm going to, but I don't think its a necessity. That's merely because you like MM Tripp. Like I said, depends on your style. I am somewhere in between Juggler and Gunwitch from what I've heard of their methods. I own the woman's sexuality and I learned that from SoFS. I get stronger connections and responses by telling her how attracted she is to me and how she needs to resist and not to get too excited, than I ever have by running MM routines.

Exactly.

And when you read it DO NOT skip chapters and go straight to
the method and routines.

The first few chapters on the purpose of life and behavioral
circuitry really set the backdrop to what is going on in male/female
interactions.

On top of that I would suggest Double Your Dating. I think
David D has a good overall take on things.


My take on body language is that once you gain confidence and get
good at this stuff, your body language will automatically follow; and
it usually breaks down to very simple stuff like good eye contact,
shoulders back, and chest out. I personally don't think you need
a book on it, but that's just me.

On the other hand, if The Definitive Book of Body Language gives
insight on how to read another person's body language, then it would
be beneficial . I haven't read it so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I just figured because it kinda goes over that stuff in The Game and he says he's read that, that VAH would be redundant. Then again, I've also read books on the evolution of sexuality (Why is Sex Fun? by Jared Diamond) and that helped me understand the drive behind a lot of interactions that take place in our species. I guess I'm more interested in reading the books that made the Gurus into Gurus, instead of the stuff they write, because it gets paraphrased.

I second this book. Everyone should read it sometime, even though it is not a "foundation" or book on PU theory. It has helped me a ton with understanding what people are really conveying behind their words. Anyone can lie, but no one can fully hide body language. Pick it up along with Magic Bullets, which is one of my favs as far as "foundations" go.
