I don't understand the theory behind why you shouldn't talk with your hands (gesticulate). I find it a very natural thing to do when telling stories, and plus it makes it far easier to initiate kino. What's the problem with doing it? |

Yeah they are talking about tapping your fngers or nervous habbits. checked up on it for you and just watched videos with Mystery, Tyler , stlye and david D and they all use a ton of hand movements. So where ever you got that info. erase it out of your head |

Talking with your hands is something that you do in order to communicate easier. It's the same idea as Body Language, it's stronger than words and coupled with what you're saying and your expressions it can be a very powerful tool. Not to mention talking with your hands and Kino go hand and hand together. Just make sure you don't look like a crazy hummingbird and you should be okay. |

I suggest EVERYONE buy and read this book The Definitive Book of Body Language. (by Allan & Barbara Pease) This will answer your very question. Lots of hand motions while talking denotes that you are nervous or anxious. |

Good question, I was kinda wondering the same, just started watching this pick-up-artist thing from VH1, and it was a remark somewhere that ...(don't rememer who) was making to much gestures. Your answers explain a lot, thanks. Oh, sorry for not introducing myself, not much to say. Had a couple of relationships, but never initiated one... and now I want to try and get to know other girls. |

Yes, using too many gestures is bad. Saqcheck, are you saying that book says you shouldn't talk with your hands at all? That would seriously make a person boring. |

I believe that you should use your hands when communicating. Just don't do quick movements. Make the gestures slow and large. That's alpha in my opinion. |

That is a great book I completely agree. Another great book is Love Signals, which I found was more helpful from a dating perspective. I think Body Language is by far the best book to read as far as observing human behavior. I can read people a lot better 2 days after I read it I won a poker tournament. The Definitive Book of Body Language. (by Allan & Barbara Pease) This will answer your very question. Lots of hand motions while talking denotes that you are nervous or anxious. I would recommend that book followed up by Love Signals by David Givens. Love Signals shows everything in a animalistic nature. How we have not evolved at the speed of our culture and that we still are very primitive in that we send mating signals, why we are initially attracted to girls. It also shows how to build rapport without saying a word. Hand motions are very good to have and use correctly. You want to have open palms when talking to a girl. Also small things will help like copying her hand gestures. Basically show safe and non threatening movements. |
