Post subject:  Disability Stick
Hey guys,

Part intro, part sticking point. About 6 years ago I was in a bad car accident that left my right arm paralyzed. It happened when I was 23, and now I'm 29. I did pretty well before 23, my killcount was at about 16, but 6 years later and I'm only at 18. Of course this kind of thing is going to kill someones confidence.

I'm finally starting to get some of my strut back, but the arm thing worries me a bit. I've got a pretty badass scar running up my neck that I get asked about all the time. It looks cool, not creepy or gross or anything, which is why I keep it. Is this scar going to lower my value? Any ideas on how to flip it around and use it to my advantage? Generally I'll make up some crazy BS (bear attach, stabbed, etc), but I was wondering what the community thought.

Also, there's the dead arm part too. Generally I dress so most people can't even notice it, but it comes up when I go to shake hands and I offer my left instead of my right. I'll generally force them to ajust rather than doing it myself, but of course people always ask about it. Thoughts?

mate dont worry about it

firstly that scar sounds like a awesome bit of peacocking lol . just keep doing what youre doing saying funny stories , say you got attacked by jack baeur or something. then once youve isolated the girl then you could possibly tell her the real reason . open up a bit to her and create some comfort so that eventually she can get comfy on your bed ;)

and secondly dont worry about shaking with your left, if some one calls you out on it and you tell them the reason and they then act like a cunt , thats there problem not yours. but if this is a real sticking point for you then be the one to first initiate a hand shake whenver possible. that way if they then offer you there right you can just look at them with a " what the fuck are you doing face " haha .

o and also keep your confidence high knowing that no one is gona wana fuck with some thats got a scar on there neck. they probably think you got it in a bar fight or something which is also awesome lol.

I've never really thought about it before, but it seems if someone is genuinely asking about the scar then I suppose I can take it as a sign of interest, the same way that someone asking about a hat or furry vest :P I've just never really jumped on it like I should I suppose.

As for shaking with the left, I've always used it as a tool to see how observant someone is, ie. if I meet them a second time, and they offer the left, then they are an observant person. If they offer the left the first time, then hell, they are really sharp.

I guess it's all about flipping what most people would see as a disadvantage into an advantage
