| Post subject: | The Smile |
Whenever I feel amused or happy I naturally and involuntarily smile a good-looking smile. Therefore smiling is easy once I have started to talk with a girl. However, I cannot for the life of me force a smile. In photographs I always make faces. There are only a few where I try to smile, and they look very creeper-ish. So when I approach, especially on the dance floor, I typically am not smiling. How do I master the Smile, for approaching? |

Have you ever seen George Clooney's smile? He always has a grin across his face, and doesn't he absolutely look stunning? He's a trained actor, excused. One fast way to have an instant smile across you face is to remember something funny. Keep a list of the funniest joke in your mobile or PDA and when you need to smile, just read one up. Think of an incident that cracked you up. That should bring an instant smile full of warmth and friendliness. Just think of something funny Remember, its not about faking the smile, its about creating the most genuine smile anyone can make at that particular moment, making it count and making it work for you. One tip for smiling, dont smile as soon as you meet someone, wait for a second, soak in their persona, then smile slowly, revealing your white teeth. This way the recipient feels that this is a special smile and just for him/her. |

This part is very interesting because I read in a lot of places it's better to be smiling already rather than smile because you're seeing her. But I completely agree with you! Most of the time when I smile in conversation it is just a regular good-natured ha-ha charming smile. I do this naturally when engaged in active conversation with a hot girl; I expect most PUAs following MM would do the same. But very rarely, a girl is so adorable/amazing that whenever I see her, I smile the slow smile you describe even though I try to keep it down, and the smile is "unstoppable" because I am happy to see her. Contrary to PUA belief this involuntary smile actually ups your game A LOT. Of the three girls I've ever done that to in my life (for some reason it is extremely rare for me to REALLY like a girl, though I am sexually attracted to HB's all the time), I have at least date closed them. Another I bed-closed, and the other one became an LTR. I found out later the date close had a BF (if I'd known earlier I might have felt proud of myself instead of AFC oneitis depressed over her suddenly ignoring me). This was all long ago before I read any PUA stuff. The smile either happens when I see her, or when she does something really cute. Often it seems to confuse her, like "what did I do that was so cute to make him smile that much? All I did was make a little hand gesture." Of course this isn't something I can control; this is the rare case where I actually have a better chance if I truly like the girl. Man, I wish I could like more girls. Actually, correction: I need to meet more girls. By the way, this funny-thought thing didn't work at all for me. I tried it and the smile feels equally awkward. Even though I laughed during the event, smiling about the memory of it just seems... insincere. other ideas? p.s. oh yeah the one i bed-closed had a bf too... man, this is the power of smiling. I was 100% AFC back in the day but the smile made me a grand master PUA. And now I am even more AFC than before because the only girl I "like" is my ex. |

What I do when I have to take a picture is just make myself chuckle. Yea it's fake and theres nothing funny going on, but even a fake laugh can make you smile. The difference between a real smile and a fake smile is your eyes. When you genuinely smile, your eyes smile too. So if you laugh, you can get the same effects as a real smile. Just thinking about something funny doesn't do much, but putting your feelings to action always works for me. |
