So I've opened some HB8 with girl kiss girl opener, and I used the "your nose wiggles when you talk, did you notice that?" neg, and she replied with "my nose don't wiggle" and her friend said the same, so I just kept talking like I never heard it and she started talking about the neg like their frame is stronger... I mean like they don't keep tracking my conversation.. what did I do wrong? cheers. |

The neg was too factual may be. I mean, if I tried to neg a chick by saying " you know your hair appears to be purple when it's wet " she'd certainly not fall for it. A neg works better if it's about a trait, like one's dressing rather than about a fact (their body size, or anything else you can comment on in a negative fashion). Another point I'd like to make here is that a fact-based neg, if turns out to be true, has a high chance of insulting the other person. |

I like situational negs. A keen eye can notice two or three things off the rip that are neg fodder. Something in her hair is my favorite. I raise a finger to stop the conversation and grab the fuzz or whatever then ask "how long has your friend been traveling with you?" Even if you can't notice anything, make something better up like acting as if she spat while she talked (don't make a big scene of it, simply wiping a spot on your face is enough) or a a moment of looking displeased followed by asking if she wants a piece of gum. |
