Post subject:  Looks Don't Really Matter...

Firstly, I want you guys to know, I'm not some crazy ass hardcore pick up artist. I've only used gaming SO FAR for gaming women within my social circle and College environment, the bars and day game are still a giant hurdle for me. REGARDLESS, due to pick up, this past year I learned some crazy shit.

Looks don't really matter.

Before I start my massive diatribe, I want to say, I'm by no means what is considered the stereotypical attractive male. I wear glasses, my front tooth is kind of fucked up (the filling is decaying) and has made me incredibly self conscious about it, I'm kind of scrawny and I used to be really self conscious about my voice. However, I've been told this past years by girls that I'm "really cute" or that "I'm really sexy." Shit I've never been told EVER. To be realistic with you, if you saw me in real life you'd probably assume I was a gamer, but once I talked with you, you'd realize my personality reflects something else.

When I first got into PUA ish, I was all about improving my looks, getting nice hair cuts, nice clothes, nice shoes. All that shit. I then assumed, THAT coupled with a BIT of game would equal PERFECT success. However, it didn't. So I assumed, "If I looked a bit more attractive and had better game I'd be doing well." So I'd go back and buy new clothes, even invested in contacts, all that shit. As I was so focused on my looks though, I figured I could be lazy on my gaming and that women would come to me or some shit and when they did, I would be prepared. Well, no. That didn't do me shit.

So then one day, I was in a semi-depressed slump. I decided PUA wasn't for me, I was dressed sloppy, didn't shave, wore my glasses, threw on a decent looking t-shirt and dirty jeans. I ended up seeing some friends I knew, it got me into a comical talking mood. Then later that night I bumped into this really cute blond girl. I told myself, "Stop being a fucking pussy and do something, stop trying to be cool and go for whatever you want" instantly I started going balls out. I fucked around with her, played games, had her laughing. Then I blurted out, "I want to ravage your thighs, they look sexy as fuck." Anyways, she started really feeling me, we made out, did all that shit.

Anyways, she tells me how I look really sexy, how she loves my eyes, loves my arms, all that shit. I NEVER heard this from a woman before. So, I rationalized to myself, "This girl just likes guys who look like me." But then I was talking to more girls with my new found attitude, and they'd say the same things to me.

So what is it that made me sexy? If you're following, it's personality and confidence. I'm able to make a girl laugh, I have no shame about my sexuality, and I'm direct as possible. As a result, even though I'm by no means a model type looking dude, I act like I am. The whole looks thing, was something I never understood. Someone told me once, "Looks don't mean shit man, stop caring" and I tried to keep that mentality but never believed it until I started getting successes.

Now, I'm not trying to preach, "GET VALUE FROM WOMEN BY LETTING THEM TELL YOU YOU'RE SEXY," I'm telling you that you should really stop caring. I used to put a lot of emphasis on my looks because I knew David DeAngelo did, and I realized that in itself was almost setting me back because I started trying to get value from women in order to feel good.

What I'm saying is, for all those dudes who have a issue with talking to women because they feel they're ugly. I was the exact same.

I remember a period when a girl would say, "That's a really nice shirt." She wasn't saying, "I want to fuck you," but I took that as better than nothing. So it inclined me to buy more clothing hoping women would notice me. Thing is, even IF THEY DID, I wasn't getting laid. The shit that got me laid was confidence and personality; now, I just wear casual clothing and act like myself and women react positively.

I'm not expecting you to read this and go, "OH, OK SOME RANDOM DUDE SAID LOOKS DON'T MATTER, SO I'M AUTOMATICALLY SEXY." However, I'm hoping this will give you some sort of push, and really, I'm not the sexiest dudes by societal standards, but I've had more than a few successes and I'm steadily improving. Looks are just one confidence issue that I feel I've conquered, and I assume most dudes who continue gaming will learn as well.

Good post, man. I agree completely.

Looks can only get you so far. I'm not a bad looking guy (from what I've been told) but I'm definitely nowhere near the status of the other guys that hit the bars in my town. But the first time I used some of the PUA stuff one night, I had crazy success and girls were eating out of my hand.

It's all about the attitude, honestly. Just be a confident, cocky bastard and people will follow. Hell, look at Style, he can pickup any woman he wants and he doesn't have the stereotypical looks, voice, or any of that nonsense.

For me, I just decided that the whole world NEEDS to listen to me, that I'm the most important thing, that I'm the most exciting thing that entered their life. And the shit really does work. People can sense it somehow.

I agree... It's a good thing you were in a mood that day. And that you were able to figure out what gave you success. It's also a good thing that the girl gave you this compliments to boost your self esteem. You're a natural now:)

Mood is important...if you are feeling like you just got a blowjob that day, you're more likely to actually get a blowjob that day:D
