Hey guys, got a question about what happened to me an hour ago when I opened a 1 set. First, some background info on me. I'm 17 and was first introduced to pickup about two years ago when I myself got opened up by two guys. Since then I've read a lot on it, and even sarged quite a bit myself. Apart from today's set, I can honestly say that I haven't opened a set for nearly a year and a half as I've never really had the urge to. I consider myself to be one of the better looking guys and I've never had trouble getting women. Mainly because they've always come to me. The problem is that I'm more of a social networker than one who opens random people. The girls I've been with have all, in some way or another, been through my social circles. The problem arises when I'm on vacation and no longer can rely on my circles to do my bidding so I'm forced to talk to strangers. Info on the Sarge: I'm currently on vacation in the hawaiian islands and one of my favorite things to do is "pool hopping". For those who don't know what that is, pool hopping basically entails jumping in a pool at one hotel, swimming around, meeting people etc. and then moving onto the next hotel and rinse, repeating. Anyways. As I went pool hopping today, I came across an unusually fortunate opportunity. At one of the hotels I was at there sat a lone Hb8.5 in the jacuzzi, so I decided I'd give it a shot. As I stepped into the pool we exchanged hellos and I couldn't help but see that her eyes lit up when I spoke. I knew she had been checking me out just as I had her before this. I quickly followed up by asking her where she was from. California. It turned out she lived near my relatives, so suddenly we had all the world to talk about. We bounced from topic to topic and finally landed on sushi. I found out that she, just like me, adored sushi so once again we were able to speak without the interrupt of awkward silences. When just about everything could be said a silence overcame us. It didn't last longer than 10 seconds until she cut in. HB: "I've... I've got to go", she said under her breath while simultaneously starring down into the pool. I couldn't help but notice the smile that grew on her face. Just like that, before I even had a chance to murmur a word she hopped up and started in a fast pace away from the pool area. HB: "Nice meeting you", she slurred out during her half walk, half jog, away from me. Noiss: "You too!", I shouted after her, still in shock that she decided to leave after everything was going so well. I remained sitting in the pool, still dumbfounded over what had happened, and watched as it slowly filled up with more people. When I awoke from my near trance experience, I rose up, grabbed my sandals and walked briskly back to my hotel room to type this out for you guys. Some things worth mentioning She was your typical shy girl, fidgety, slightly nervous, maintained a low level of eye-contact, slurred and always spoke with a small voice. I had to ask her to repeat herself two or three times as it was truly hard to hear what she was saying even as I was trying my best to listen to every word she spoke. Upon my requests, she would reveal a temperamental side to her and often snap back at me. I also noticed however that when I touched upon the right subjects she would completely come out of her shell and act extremely forward and friendly. I deemed her a typical shy girl. A final thing worth mentioning is that our encounter took about 10 minutes. So what do you guys think? Was I being too AFC with this one? Was it out of my control? What would you have done in my situation? I'd love to hear your feedback. |

Strange. It seemed like you were doing everything right. You should have tried to move a bit closer and run a kino gambit on her. She might have stuck around longer if you got her more invested into you. It was just her and you in the hot tub after all right? And her and you had an interesting talk about sushi you should have stopped her when she got up. "Before you go I'll only be here for a few more days, let's do sushi tomorrow night". Boom number close. |

It was just us, and the fact of the matter was that I was outright shocked that she left as she was sending me IOIs. Perhaps I should have acted upon them. She was very forward with initiating questions and I was sure she was into me when she cut me off at one point to ask me for how much longer I'd be around the islands (felt like she implied a day2). It would of been perfect seeing as she even asked me if I knew of any good sushi places on the island as she was dying to find a good place. Thanks for your input anyways. It's helped me to realize things just by typing this down. |

Hmm weird, well first guess would be that she has a BF/Husband and that she was enamoured by you and it suddenly clicked for her, makes sense. |
