Post subject:  Almost out of the friend zone, then fucked up

I've been friends with this girl for two years and we've been really close, but I've always had this thing for her and so I've started gaming her.

In the past few weeks I've been really cocky, flirty, and went crazy with kino. And it seemed to be working well. She responded great to all the kino and flirting. We were getting along great. Then I tried to kiss her and got rejected.

Without paying attention to how I was acting, I turned back into an AFC after that. I started being overly nice to her and stopped being so cocky. I didn't even realize I was doing it.

Now she's been avoiding me, and getting angry at me for no reason.
I don't know if anyone else has this as a sticking point, but it seems like whenever I get too close to a girl i start to lose that pua attitude, without even realizing it.

Does anyone else have this problem or know a way to curb it?

I'm seeing her today and I'm gonna lay on the flirty/cocky attitude hardcore and hope that saves my ass.

Also, does anyone else feel like its fucked up that we can't just act like ourselfs to get girls?

You can, dont just act as yourself, act as your best self. That's very important. Who are you? What routines fit you? What DHV stories fit you? What cocky and funny jokes? Create your own person. Not a fictional person, but the best self you are.

Also about your girl.

Act normal, bit cocky, bit funny bit give some more attention to other girs. Let other girls get close but not too close. Make her jealous. Make yourself a prize for her to achieve.

Kinda new to the PUA thing, but I think what would be really good is flirting with other girls with her around. She's not in a relationship with you, so you're not really disrespecting her, but you are showing her that she's hardly the only one for you.
